I was recently diagnosed with q fever. I was totally shocked that I tested positive and I am currently on doxy to treat this parasite.
If anyone else has Q fever, and you please post your experience and treatment.
Thanks

My daughter tested positive for Q fever. Has been on minocycline for 1 week only, so I don't have a lot to share yet. LLND says only a small percentage test positive for this.
I'm unsure which symptoms are from this. I think babesia-like symptoms (neck pain, air hunger), as previously thought babesia until this diagnosis.
What have you learned about it?

See this CDC site on Q fever. It says standard duration of treatment with doxy is 18 months.
Doxy has seemed to help my night sweats. I thought I had lingering babesia, but it seems that they were from Q fever.
My titer was very low, so I am only on ten days. I have to get retested in a few days and i am hoping it does the trick. All I know is that I am having one heck of a herx.

wow that surprising as I have the same thing and have been thinking is babesia but maybe are both as after a while in artemisia or mepron or malarone I feel nothing on them but my heart hurts most . Savebabe do you have crawling on the beack of the head ?
