I have some symptoms, other than my horrific pain issue.
One is that I am forgetting phone numbers that I should know by now.
One person has been calling me regularily and I can't recognize the phone number.
Even names that come up on call display I am forgetting.
My house is really disorganized mess.
I am trying to hold down a job that I do at home, then send the paperwork to my boss.
I used to be really organized, but I am in so much pain, I just can't think or do anything but cry from pain all day.
My regular doctor said that I should just get used to living this way.
I cried and cried when she told me that.

I know when I'm in pain I can't think straight at all. Any kind of pain will do that to you.
I hope you can find a new doctor!!

Don't listen to your regular doctor. You can get better. You need a good LLMD.
And yes pain can make you crazy, messy, forgetful, and so on.

I think with treatment that works, it will get better - you just have to find it - so, no, this is not forever.
What about thinking of simple aids to help yourself? Like make a list of phone numbers and names, actually, make multiple copies of the list, and have it available to look at.
Re house mess - I think it's easier to start small - one little corner, one ledge, and clear it.
Another trick I have - just clear the area out completely by putting its contents into a bag, put the bag in a corner, and then the room is clear!
Which is then a confront to our expectation that we can't have a clean environment. So to go ahead and see what can be done to overcome our limitations, in any way possible.

Robin123 --- ha! ha! that actually made me laugh!
put things in a bag! love it!
I guess I am just a neat freak!
or a clean freak! I used to be a maid, for years!
I loved it, but it made me obsessive about those tiny little specs of dirt!
Yes, I do start small, and I do divy up the responsibilities.
My LLMD is great! He keeps working with me to find answers,
it is just the regular doctors, in my country, where I live, that are the problem.
I am trying every trick in the book to distract myself from my constant pain.
Honestly, it feels like 20 football players kicking me as hard as they can, all over my body,
I heard one Lyme patient say that it feels like your body is in a meat grinder.
I did find that Yerba Mate tea worked really well!
I was drinking about 6 cups a day, and it was marvelous.
I was trying to eat some coconut oil everyday, but that made the pain a million times worse!
Also, B-12 shots made me scream and writhe with pain for about 4 days after.
Thank you so much.

apparantly, I called my Lyme doctor to ask for help, this last week,
Woah! I do not remember that at all!
That made me cry all over again.
It feels like every yesterday was a long ago memory!
Why is that?
and some of my memories feel like they were just yesterday.
But it is scary to not remember what ya did two days ago!

Missing,
you were exposed to toxic black mold. This is all just the mold. It will be over once you moved and your body had some days to get rid of the toxin. Toxic black mold kills people and even horses.
But you also had a dog bite and this is not harmless either.

Yeah, Missing, bag 'em, and then forget about 'em!
The memory stuff is due to interference with normal brain chemistry.
So, once again, if you find something not happening - like when people sprain their ankle, they use crutches, same thing with us - we need the equivalent for our functioning needs.
So make a record of who you call, that kind of thing - throughout the day.
Whatever's not happening normally, see if you can find a crutch assisting system going.
Hm - wonder if you could find out if any PT or chiropractor in town has a PEMF machine - it can take down pain bigtime. Stands for pulsed electromagnetic frequency machine - you hold a white coil while it clicks.
Another pain relieving tool is 660nm red light handheld tools, from any compay that sells them.

I was like you before being diagnosed and before treatment. It is gone today.
