I was finally diagnosed by my llmd when I went to see her Aug 18th and was put on amox to start with since I experienced herxing with it before.
Sure enough, 2-3 days in I had a mild herx for several days. Got through that and hadn't been doing too bad.
Also, during my appt of course I was told to cut out the sugar, gluten and artificial sweeteners
She also recommended green tea to drink since I like tea anyway and had to leave my diet pepsi behind
So I tried this white mangosteen and peach green tea and I think my awful herxing the last few days may be from that. Is this possible. My hubby swears I am stoned! I have been having awful neuro sx, aching and dizziness these last few days.
Anyone experienced similar or is it just a coincidence?
I read that mangosteen has antibiotic and anti inflammatory properties.

We have archived threads on mangosteen, if you use the search function at the top of the page here. I don't recall people saying they herxed from it, although we are all different, so who knows?
Mangosteen is an anti-inflammatory antioxidant juice - it scarfs up the free radicals produced by the inflammatory processes, so theoretically we should feel better - I certainly do - no more Lyme eye symptoms.

I don't think it causes a herx but more a detox reaction. My brother and sister both have detox reactions from it. My LLMD told me it can be a good detoxifier.
