Hi, I really feel my Lyme symptoms are full blown after 10 years of remission. I was treated by Dr. B but he is no longer around.
My family and I are not handling this well, we thought this was all behind us.
I have an ID doctor who is testing my blood through MDL labs. I think he will treat me, but I am not sure if he is really a LLMD.
Klonopin is the only thing getting me through the day, since my symptoms are neuro muscular.
Has anyone relapsed after so many years? Please help.

Could you have been re-exposed? New tick bite?
It is possible to relapse at any time. Did the symptoms return slowly over time, or all at once? Maybe after a significant stressor?
I can't imagine how you must feel. One trip through Lymeland is enough!
You will get well again. Choose a good doc. That's the most important part.

Right ! You are armed with info. Remember you got well once and will again and it probably wont take as long. !

Me right after the car accident had fully relapse and back to square one. Babesia was still hanging in the liver and almost killed me in the hospital.Ended up with blood transfusion.Did you really think you killed babesia if you have it or bartonella ?
The treatment methods are different now not like before .So yes I relapsed fully near death exsperience!

Thanks for the responses. The symptoms started with feet tingling in May after I broke a toe and then the neuro symptoms started to move to legs, back, neck and head.
Dr. B did say I was positive for Babesia and Lyme, but I do not remember if I was treated fully for Babesia.
I am so confused and upset, I hope this doctor knows what he is doing.
I will try to stay positive, but it is very difficut to do. Thanks.
