Well, supposedly it will go into effect on October 1 if it is not stopped, so they are asking people to call their congressmen/women on Sept. 8.
Also, they is a link to a sample letter you can change if you want to or just put your name, address, email and they will automatically send the letter to all your congress people.
I think this is very important. I hope a lot of people will do this. I'm so sick of greedy corporations and governments; they are thick as theives now, you can't even tell them apart anymore.

Oh my god! The greed factor is just un-believable.
I just learned that due to pressure from drug companies FDA dissalowed a very good probiotic product from a very reputable company. So the company doesn't make it anymore!
Of course who is going to suffer, the consumers!!
We have to all act against this. Please send this to everyone you know who will act on this.

I just about consider it mandatory to watch and learn what she's saying - they're after everything we need - food, vitamins, minerals, all supplements.
AND we can speak up about it - apparently we're being asked en masse to contact our Congressional reps on Thursday and give them an earful why Codex is unwanted, unhealthy and a no-go.
I found it helpful to watch the four videos, and recommend it so we understand the topic better. They're trying to get rid of the 1994 DSHEA law that protects us in this country.

Let me ask a dumb question. Does this mean as of October 1st, we will not be able to get some of our supplements that we rely on? This whole thing is so outrageous!!!!!!!!!!

The country rose up in the 90s and the DSHEA law was the result. We have to do the same now - it's easy to call. Then spread the news, to relevant organizations, bulletin boards at healthfood stores, etc.
I hope folks understand the FDA is falsely equating supplements to dangerous chemicals - wanting to see them tested for lethal dosage, which will not happen. Health supplements are not comparable to dangerous chemicals!

Still time to make those calls. When I called, it did not sound like my senators and rep were hearing from many people.
If you click on that mercola link someone gave above, it takes you to a page where you just plug in your zip code and it gives you the phone numbers and addresses of your elected officials. Very easy.
I did not do that log your call part because I don't want to keep giving out my personal information.

If you can't call or write letters, send the email.
Change the title of email to include at the beginning: DO NOT ALLOW THIS: (and then title)
The email letter is at the above link also.
By stating DO NOT ALLOW THIS at beginning of title, it helps to draw their attention and know where the public stands.
But calling and sending real letters is better.

post it at your health food store.
this is more important than any other political action posted here, including all the lyme legislation. that was NOTHING compared to this as far as potential impact on our health.

Here is a link to easily contact your sentator or representatives. SIAP. This is very important last time in 94 there was a major outcry and rally to keep our supplements. I use to see bumper stickers in Austin saying Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people then my supplements. It was very organized fight against them. I'm not seing it get the press this time around.

Okay, I searched for info on "S 1310", and surprisingly there is nothing to be found. I find this very suspicious. You would think that the news of the "victory" against this bill would be all over the place. If I ever heard that the bill was rejected, I would be like: "Yeah! In your face FDA!!! ".
So what's going on? Any news?
I worry that in a short while from now we'll hear: "That's it. Supplements are now banned."

Scary, but things are headed this way. I think it all ties in with that Codex Alimentarius thing. Scary. They've already started pulling things in Europe. Very bad.
