I have been treating my babs for 2 months now with SuperArt from Allergy research and I must say its really helping especially as I increase the dose up to 600-800mgs. Its certainly stronger than the normal art I used to take and less corrosive to my system than cryptopisis. Here's some info on why it may be different....

Actually many doctors and herbalists say that babs can become resistant to a single portion of a whole herb, like straight Artimisinin alone. However as I understand it Super Art seems to mix both Artimisinin and the whole leaf of the plant. I'm assuming this might be enough for babs to not so quickly gain resistance to it.
Heres what the manufacturer Allergy Research says in the link.... "Super Artemisinin contains pure Artemisinin, the active constituent of the herb Artemia annua, and Artemisia leaf oil derived from the same plant�Super Artemisinin appears to be substantially more potent, probably due to the synergistic effect of pure Artemisinin and the cell sap (leaf oil). Additionally, in Chinese medicine terms, Super Artemisinin is not as cooling as Artemisinin alone, and is likely to be more balanced for broad use."
Of course this is all hearsay. In real life terms, this stuff seems much stronger than anything else I have tried including Cryptolepsis- which feels a bit like what I imagine Chemo-therapy might, or enula, or for this matter plain Artemisinin alone. So I think this might be something for those with bad cases to take and take in higher doses. As I take my third capsule my CFS seems to subside by quite some amount- which is at least temporarily thrilling for me, as CFS (and severe breathing issues) has been my primary issue for years. thanks, jeremy

Read Babesia book of Dr J in Fl and you will understand the diference in artemisin.
The ZH from NY artemisin 2 is very powerful as well.And yes he recomends it as it has other ingredient in it .

What is "artemisin 2" is that a hepapro Zhang herb? And second what makes you think that the allergy research mixture of different constituents of the art plant is no good? Have you tried it? Do you know people who have? j

this product is WORKING for me so far.
i take one superartimisinin plus one phytoartimisinin from the same company, the two make 400 mg's of art.
i take it 3x a day, three days on and three days off.
i am excited about results so far.

Mo, See I knew I wasn't going to be the only one- this stuff is really strong, maybe stronger than Dr. Z's.
Why did you choose to take the Super Art with phytoart? Did someone tell you, is there some logic to it, of did you just take a shot? thx, jeremy

Jer69- how was cryptolepis corrosive? I just ordered a bunch of it. With regards to the Super Artemisinin, so far it seems like very powerful stuff! I am someone who doesn't "herx." But when I took the Super Artemisinin (2 capsules twice a day) I became really dizzy/spinny/ and my body felt hot and cold at the same time and I was completely exhausted. I had to stop after 3 days. I took 5 days off and now I'm starting again with just one capsule twice a day and will work my way up, 5 days on/5 days off. Are other people who are using this formula feeling that it is mitigating their babesia symptoms? That's what I'm hoping. I'm also going to take cryptolepis.

FYRECRACKER- I used to take A-Bab. I felt a flare when I was taking it but after three bottles I didn't feel I had improved significantly but maybe it works for other people. For me, I had a better feeling on cryptolepis. But I'm not sure. It seems like different things work for different people... Maybe I should be taking A-bab too. There's just only so many things one can afford at a time. I try to take as many herbal remedies as possible. I'm going to try 90 days on cryptolepis at double the usual dose and I will report back on how that goes.

Jalmama, The only thing thats stands out about Super Art to me is that they mix in what they call "Artemisia leaf oil" I'm not sure I've ever heard of this being used before. I assume in order to get oil from a leaf however that it would require using a lot of leafs! so maybe therein lies the difference I think. Must agree it is very strong stuff and shoud be recognized by the members here. J

Incidentally , others here have expressed that grapefruit seed extract has helped with babs and that llmd's have used it with art . I think it has helped me progress .
Yesterday California lyme posted about a GSE that was helping her friends with babs ( I believe ).

Another thing to try is Artemix which has artemesinin and the more potent derivatives, artesunate and artemether. It is very powerful.
I got a big boost on rounds of Coartem which has artemether as the second ingredient. I decided to pulse artemix three days a week with malarone and it is working well.
I also added in LDN and that seemed to be a magic bullet. No symptoms right now and I cut my abx down from three malarone twice a day, to two malarone twice a day. I also cut out the Bactrim DS with no return of bart symptoms.

Looks interesting. Think I will order some and have hubby rub it in with topical DMSO in areas such as his spinal column. I definitely think that is one area where babesia hides out.

back a while there was a thread on artimisinin dose, i believe by nefferdun.
my search is not working, sorry.
there i posted a link to a page on artimisinin in case studies for cancer.
in reading those i decided superartimisinin looked very good, and i took from their protocols, with my own twist, to take the phytoart together..
also because i know saponins can be very effective in infectious disease conditions. i'm still very impresses with my progress, it definately effects my babesia symptoms, tho my symptoms are acute and obvious at this point.
i believe the breaks are critical and it should not be taken more than 3 days straight, i believe that for toxic load reasons and for babs killling reasons.
artimisinin cured my chronic case of babesia years ago with this dosing schedule, only then i was taking holley pharma brand and at half this dose. because it worked before and because i see LLMD's are using higher doses now, voila.
my conclusions, but i think well read and well thought out.
