I went to my GP today. He is a family friend, but I had no idea how he would react to me asking to draw blood so I could do a Western Blot Test with Igenex. I was scared to death.
Long story short....he let me get the blood drawn and I shipped it off today! (yay!) AND he prescribed a few month's supply of doxy "for my acne".
I think he only has my dosage at 100mg twice a day. Is that not enough? IF I do have Lyme, how long will it take for me to feel anything?
I am due to go see Dr. C. on October 20th. I should have my test results by then, right?
I'm super excited to be on the path to finding answers. Positive or Negative, I want to know why I've been so sick!

Were you recently bitten? If not, 200mg a day won't hurt. If you were bitten in the past few months, then you'd want double that.

Thanks! I wasn't recently bitten. Started getting sick a little over two years ago. No recollection of being bitten ever as an adult.
Will the 200mg do enough to where I might feel better? Or will I herx, possibly?
