Hi! I know I read some where in all this Lyme info/protocols etc, that there is something you can take while on levoquin/cipro/avelox, that will help one not have the tendon issue when on these for a long period of time. [Big Grin] [dizzy] So many things. such big battle.. Nonna

you are supposed to load up on Magnesium for at least a week beforehand and while you are taking it.

When I took Cipro, I was taking 800 MG twice/ day. You want to space the MAg away from the ABX. I took Cipro 5 months and had no tendon issues whatsoever. These drugs are the most effective for Bart, but you have to be careful.

I've heard magnesium and NAC which is a precursor to glutathione. I've heard some speculate that the tendonitis could be caused by a glutathione deficiency.

I would also advise to STOP taking it if you even suspect any tendonitis. I took it for about a week and am still dealing with tendonitis a year later. It really makes life difficult when you want to walk/exercise...

Use with caution

Higher doses of magnesium and vitamin C. And remember you need Boron to absorb mag. See Burrascano's recommendations for avoiding tendonitis. Take before, especially during, and after any quinilones. I have been floxed many times, and was able to avoid subsequent episodes by following Burrascano's recommendations. Once floxed, you will get it every time there after with quinilones. Stay on top of it.
