Well, the question is in the title. They feel normal (no itching or anything), they're just discolored.

I don't want to give too many specifics, because then mean people like 17hens will laugh at me again and say I'm unattractive and other mean things.

BTW my lips were perfectly normal before I got Lyme, I promise. Actually, one time I was offered a job to model my lips for a fashion magazine, but I declined out of modesty. [Big Grin] [lol]

Do you mean Fordyce spots?

Wow, Carol, I think you're right! I think that's what it is. Thanks a lot for the help!! [Smile]

At first I thought you were playing a joke on me, because when I googled "Fordyce spots", I saw a bunch of pictures of guys' balls, and I was like: "GROSS!!". It was worse than pornography. Then I googled "Fordyce spots lips" and it was more accurate.

I wonder why I would start getting them all of the sudden after I got Lyme and/or started abx??! Too bad it looks like there's not much info on these "spots". They all say: "They're harmless and caused by nothing and cured by nothing." Yeah, well, Mr. Wikipedia, if it's caused by nothing, then why did I get it right after I got Lyme disease?

If anybody knows any tips or tricks concerning these things, I'd love to hear them. I just hope they go away after I'm done with the abx. The girls don't chase me these days as much as they used to. [Big Grin]

I have the little white spots on my lips...it happened gradually, beginning near the corners.

Nowadays when I see a bunch of Lyme patients with similar problems, like Fordyce spots, I begin to look at everyone with the problem as probably having an underlying infection.

This is why experienced Lyme patients can diagnose others...it gets kinda depressing after a while.

p.s. Your outlook and attitude change as you get more life experience.
I noticed as I got older that guys got more interesting after age 40...they looked at things differently after all the crap they'd gone through.

The ~girls~ might not chase you as much, but I don't think you'll have any problems with women.

I have had many to tell me my lips are blue. So I try to wear colored lip gloss. Guess I am not getting enough oxygen or something. The doc said oh, its just the color they are. Ugh...

phyl - I think I also have discoloration, besides the spots. They're more bluish/purplish than they used to be, and then red on the outsides. Maybe I should get some lip gloss. What's a good brand? [Smile]
