I know that it's important to follow a very specific diet. But, does eating foods with with refined sugar (ie; candy) cause joint pain DRASTICALLY worsen??

Thanks in advance 4 any feedback!! [shake]

I always feel so much worse right after eating anything with refined sugar. And the pain I feel is all in my joints and neck.

Sugar and high fructose corn syrup dramatically worsen my pain. I start feeling it the next day.

Once I ate a chicken teriyaki meal and the dramatically increased pain from that one meal lasted a full week.

It is not worth it.

My daughter has systemic candida and any time she has sugar, even fructose from fruit, her sympoms all worsen, especially her fatigue and joint pain.

Sugar depresses the immune system, so I guess whatever is in us then can go just a liddle wilder...

Sugar depresses the immune system, and sequestrates important minerals out of your body.

Plus it feeds many pathogens, specially candida /fungi /mold .

Many arthritis are caused by such pathogens, specially candida.

For all the years I follow LN, sugar is one of the thigns that if avoided, is best for virtually all lyme sufferers.

Another thing that all lyme patients benefit is to be 100% alcohol free, not even wine is allowed. Many feel horrible after a glass of wine.

And the last is avoiding wheat OR all gluten. Many see benefits too.
