I have a lot of pain.... but I wanted to know if one of the infections favors one-sided pain. My left leg/foot hurt 10 times more than my right and I can't put it on the ground it's that bad.

Any input? thanks!

Lyme tends to be more assiciated with "one sided" pain. Bart typically involves both sides.

But in my experience, my Bart seems to effect left foot much more than my right.

Hmmm interesting..it's hard to tell in that case what it is. I don't see any bart tx in your signature - do you plan to treat it? I've tried one of the quinolones and my overall pain (jaws, face, body) just skyrocketted I had to go off them. Rifampin-yikes.

I would say Lyme also. Been checked for spinal problems?

Quinolones caused me increased nerve pain. I have them listed as "allergic to."

I have done some, but not adequate, bart treatments. 2 weeks of Levaquin, stopped due to tendon tenderness (I think I chickened out in hindsight as it wasn't bad.) 3 weeks of Rifampin, but had to stop due to high liver counts (which in hindsight were likely due to supplements.)

Then RIfabutin with Bactrim, but then I got an allergic reaction to Bactrim and had to stop.

THen 3, 1 week pulses of Factive (1 week/month). A good start, but not long or aggressive enough.

I'm going to push for Rifabutin or Rifampin in Dec.

@Lymetoo- yes, I've had MRI's of my spine and it's 'normal'!

@bcb1200-thx for your input. Hope you're doing ok on your present protocol-it would kill me! I have no doubt I have bart, the pulsing thing appeals to me, maybe for me it's the way to start. Good luck!
