Hi all, my LLMD did this test on me and I am wondering if it tells anything?

c3a =67 (54-202)

c4a =400 (0-650)

Not sure what to think of these numbers?

Any help would be great

Fuel

Those are not the correct tests, what lab did you use? I used Labcorp & they sent mine to Cambridge Biomedical. Looks like it might be the complement tests that were ordered.

My C4a was high at 5351 (358-1883). My C3a was normal..that test is supposed to be for Mold issues..I think.

It was the complement test... I used Labcorp
That is the wrong test?

Hi Fuel,

Don't quote me... (sorry I have to put a disclaimer unless I know for sure which since I have Lyme nothing is sure now) [Smile]

But mine C4a level was very high and my LLMD said it indicates inflammation. Which in Lyme patients are very common! So it pretty much confirmed what she thought... inflammation due to infection. She said this number should lower once our infection is under control. I will go pull my number after I return from dropping of the kids. But I remember her saying my numbers were high!

What is the difference between complement and non? It looks like Shoemaker uses the complement tests?

Very confused

what is this supposed to test for?

Yeah, I'm confused too..I just looked at his website & he now recommends Quest labs for that testing. IDK, I thought it was just called C3a & C4a.

On my dd's test results they list it as Complement C3a & Complement C4a. My testing was sent to a lab in MA thru labcorp with just C3a & C4a listed.

I believe the test is used for tracking inflammation (higher numbers).

You could track progress by watching the numbers go up or down based on inflammation and active infection.

Fuel, nice to see you back. The more men on this board, the better. [Smile] [Big Grin]

How are you feeling? Are you continuing to see improvement? I've been wondering about you.

Hey buddy,

Today is alright aside from a 5:20am work appt.

Got back from LLMD yesterday and like the direction he is going. (Energy testing, alternative, etc)

Looking at my symptoms and previous regimes he thinks possible Babs with symptoms.

Starting new regime going after my Bart to see if symptoms get relieved. If not, Babs and Mepron.

If this doesn't work photon and homeopathy here I come.

You still doing well? PM me you still having issues off abx. When is your next appt...soon right?

Fuel-
My sister's ILADS doc using the C4a and C3a the same way a doc would use the CD57. Her numbers were incredibly high. He is monitoring her using this test and does it quite often. She has a mold issue.
I hope the new plan does the job!
