I've posted here a few times. Lyme positive by Igenex in 8/2009. Earlier this year did a course of Bactrim for what we guessed was babesia (soaking night sweats and fatigue) and these resolved in a couple months. However my CD57 has never been much beyond 60. CD4a is not extraordinarily high but is elevated (don't remember the figure now).
I'm writing now because I think I may be having a relapse and would like advice. I had a bad virus/cold/something about six weeks ago and it felt like the worst of the bad old days: stinging/burning muscles and joints, great weakness, weird gastro sensations and activity. It's gotten better but the intense fatigue has really settled in and is really interfering with me. I felt more or less completely well for 2010 and 2011 (even with the night sweats). I started feeling a little more tired mid-August and now it's hard to get through the day.
Advice on what to do before I can get in to see my doc? Advice on what to do when i see her?
Thanks in advance.

There are many herbal protocols you might look into. A lot of people are using a-babs for babesia. The symptoms may be from babs and it may make you feel better.
I'm glad you're going to see your doctor. Sorry you're feeling bad again.

Have you watched the new Burrascano DVD, "Putting Lyme Behind You"? CALDA sells it (California Lyme Disease Association). It's worth every penny.
I believe Dr. Burrascano said that gastro issues are almost always bart. Maybe your doc missed this (mine did). I probably didn't provide enough symptoms to him too.
You may want to jot down every weird little symptom you have in the meantime (may have missed something).
Burrascano also said that major fatigue could be myco.
Once I started on the bart drugs, I felt much better (I slid backwards and got new symptoms prior to taking the bart drugs).

Ask for real babesia meds. Bactrim usually won't cut it.
If it started mid-August or early- September, it could be a new bite.

I was on clindamycin/augmentin for my first course of meds, then changing to clindamycin/zith later. Switched to flagyl for a while also. The bactrim was only for three months earlier this year, ended in July.
Is muscle burning/weakness and joint burning/pain any particular thing? Fatigue has long been a problem.

I ordered the DVD as well. Thanks for the suggestion.
I get different suggestions of babesia vs bart. Is there any way to tell or be sure, or do you just treat both, or.... The symptoms seem to overlap.
