Hi there, I am new to this site, and all signs are pointing to me having lyme. I am currently diagnosed with unexplainable "fibromyalgia/chronic pain." I'm in the process of selecting a doctor, but since getting to one can take months, I wanted to start myself on colloidal silver, as I have read many have had success with it, even without antibiotics. In the least, it probably can't hurt as it's a natural remedy, and I really can use to feel better after 9 years of living minute to minute. For anyone how knows anything about it and is willing to help me out I have a few questions:
-have you used colloidal silver (CS)? -if you've used CS, how long and has it helped? -if you've used CS, what doze and what side effects, did you turn "blue"? -can one get well on CS without antibiotics? -would you recommend going on CS BEFORE starting antibiotics or seeing a LLMD (Lyme doctor?) -what brand CS would you recommend? -what dose would you recommend? -is it OK to use "ionic colloidal silver" long term? -has anyone every try to make their own CS since it is so expensive? If so, what brand maker and silver did you use (where did you get it?)
any other info you're willing to share would be much appreciated!

Keep in mind that you will feel worse before you feel better....so taking silver may make you "herx"..

-have you used colloidal silver (CS)? -if you've used CS, how long and has it helped? *a little here, a little there -if you've used CS, what doze and what side effects, did you turn "blue"? *didn't take enough to matter -can one get well on CS without antibiotics? *NO -would you recommend going on CS BEFORE starting antibiotics or seeing a LLMD (Lyme doctor?) *doesn't make much difference either way -what brand CS would you recommend? *Sovereign Silver (?) -what dose would you recommend? * dunno -is it OK to use "ionic colloidal silver" long term? *dunno
I wasn't of much help, but thought I'd answer anyway!!

My daughter and I both use Healthmax 30 Silver Sol. It is not known to cause argyria (blue skin) This was confirmed for me by the doctor who carries it. It is quite expensive but well worth it.
We have used it for the past 6 months and feel that it really helps stabilize or eliminate many of our symptoms. I have not used abx, but my daughter has and for her it was the best way to go.
One teaspoon twice a day is all we use.

Lymetoo - Herxing info is very helpful, thanks. Lululymom - So after 6 months your skin has not turned blue? Do you think using a higher dose would be safe? Why do you think your daughter is more successful on the abx brand, does she have different symptoms, if so, which ones? Is the CS you use, yellow or white colored? Thanks for the brand and dose info, very helpful.

No blue skin... it is a different formulation, not the same that has been used since the early 60's.. I don't know if higher doses would be safer, I don't see why not as they are adamant about the safety of this product. I think over a short period it should be perfectly fine.
It is a clear silver that is 30 ppm... You can also get 20 ppm if you feel better using something a little less potent.
I feel that since my daughter had an early acute infection and was very very sick, abx were necessary for her to get better. I went through that very acute stage 10 years ago so my symptoms had already become chronic.

I think people turn blue when they make their own silver. Bad idea.
Posted by lululymemom (Member # 26405) on :
I would agree with that. Here is some information about the Silver Sol vs. Ionic Silver:
Lululymom - that helps, since I am in late stages myself I'd probably go with your brand. Do you know what is the difference between your brand and your daughter's, is it the potency, the type of silver, the process, or did she just happen to luckily stumble upon it?
Lymetoo - I think that the blue skin is more due to the "ingredients" one uses rather than who or how it's made, so if one uses good quality silver, it shouldn't matter.
Posted by Please be lyme (Member # 34572) on :
Lululymom, you agree with what? That making silver yourself is what makes skin turn blue? The link is very very helpful, thanks.
Posted by Please be lyme (Member # 34572) on :
Lululymom - sorry just realized that abx stands for antibiotics, I thought it was another brand of colloidal silver, I'm new here!
Posted by lululymemom (Member # 26405) on :
I do believe that using homemade silver carries a greater risk of argyria.. I think it would be very difficult to determine how many ppm's are being consumed.
Posted by 8man12 (Member # 7664) on :
It is near impossible to get argyria if you make electronic silver at home using .9999 silver rod , electric, and DISTILLED WATER. It HAS to be DISTILLED WATER.
Some Good reading. Silver will kill the nasty bugs in your gut and colon...
More Good news on silver and the effects on bacteria. CDC uses Colloidal Silver Impregnated water filters to cut diarrhea in country's with poor water quality.
Ceramic Filtration Locally manufactured ceramic filters have traditionally been used throughout the world to treat household water. Currently, the most widely implemented ceramic filter is the Potters for Peace design. The filter is flowerpot shaped, holds about 8-10 liters of water, and sits inside a plastic or ceramic receptacle. To use the ceramic filters, families fill the top receptacle or the ceramic filter itself with water, which flows through the ceramic filter or filters into a storage receptacle. The treated water is then accessed via a spigot embedded within the water storage receptacle. The filters are produced locally at ceramics facilities, and then impregnated with colloidal silver to ensure complete removal of bacteria in treated water and to prevent growth of bacteria within the filter itself.Numerous other locally-made and commercial ceramic filters are widely available in developed and developing countries.
Silver Refrigerators and Washing Machines? You Bet!
According to a recent press release from the well-known Samsung Corporation of Korea, they will soon be introducing major household appliances that will utilize their new "Silver Nano Technology." Samsung claims that their proprietary and patented new silver-based anti-bacterial technology will soon be found in over 55 new models of washing machines, refrigerators and air conditioners.
According to Samsung, Silver Nano Technology "naturally kills 99.9% of the bacteria, mold and germs that can grow and accumulate in appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators and even air-conditioners." They claim that their patented "Silver Wash" technology, which allows their washing machines to release a cascade of silver ions during the final rinse cycle, is the first technology to keep clothes completely bacteria-free for up to 30 days after washing! http://www.thesilveredge.com/bigbus.shtml

I use Argentyn 23
Posted by chaps (Member # 25286) on :
I spoke to a lady who had Lyme for 10 years, went the abx route, nothing worked.
Then she had just 5 200 ml IVs of Argentyn 23 (Wednesday Friday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday), and was CURED never to have it return.
She then had the same therapy administered to her daughter who was also sick with Lyme. She was better after the 5 IVs, had a relapse in a year, repeated the therapy---BOOM! CURED. Never to return.
That's pretty doggone impressive. I've never heard of ANY kind of ABX getting those kinds of results.
Candida seems to be just about the peskiest thing to tackle.
Marvin Robey has a protocol with CS as the main ingredient that knocks out Candida in 2 weeks.
The protocol: Take Oxypowder for a couple of weeks as a preparatory action to free up and clean out deposits in the digestive tract that harbor fungus.
Then take the CS orally. Also take five drops of food grade hydrogen peroxide with kefir or yogurt. Take a good probiotic before going to bed. He claims this protocol works in about 2 weeks. Severe cases take a little longer.
Google Marvin Robey Candid-x for more details on the protocol as what I've written is just a rough synopsis.
Another thing on which I agree with Marvin Robey regarding Candida: You can't kill it with diet. Candida will always find a way to survive even if you don't feed it the sugars and starches that it loves. So what the diet does is starve the person and make the person sicker, while the candida lives on despite the diet.
The candida diet? Been there, done that. Totally useless. Just made me sicker because I wasn't getting the nutrition I needed. I got so skinny, people thought I had cancer. I'll never do that stupid diet again.
There is no medical advice here. Consult with your doctor.

My DD is taking argentyn 23. I wonder how we could get someone to do them IV? It would be worth trying.

chaps---did these people have other infections besides lyme?

I just watched an interview with a man in Europe discussing c. silver. According to him, the whole argyria thing has been very hyped by the drug companies to lead people away from it and towards antibiotics. He says that the guy that turned blue took large amounts of silver ...... (can't remember the compound's last name) for 14 years before it turned him blue. It did not harm him and may have helped him.
He thinks that people should buy c. silver because we would not have the equipment to determine the exact amount of silver in the solution. But then again, he runs a c. silver company.
I'm taking Argentyn 23. I also read that the amount of c. silver the blue man took was massive.

From the Yahoo Rife group:
> There's a doctor, Dr. Paul Farber, MD, who wrote a book called "The > Micro-Silver bullet" which details how he cured himself of Lyme Disease > using Colloidal Silver Water. A definite route I would follow if I were > afflicted with Lyme Disease. >
Dr Farber sounds interesting - his own experience with lyme makes me want to read this. What kind of silver does he advise using ? The kind you make at home ?
Also , will this kill babesia ? Anyone know ? It sounds worthy of serious consideration.
Posted by annxyzz (Member # 20404) on :
I did a search on c. silver and also found people posting at MD junction lyme board that argentyn 23 was making them feel and function better , along with some info on silver from UCLA . It was quite encouraging to read and the silver was given to them by their lyme doctors .
I wish we knew if it helped with babs , but even if you got just rid of lyme you would feel and function better .
The good thing is that it does not cause the problems anitibiotics cause !

A friend of mine has been in remission for years after using IV doxy and silver for 4 months.
Posted by annxyzz (Member # 20404) on :
Thank you for sharing birdie . Maybe the silver does eradicate coinfections , since a large number of lyme people have babesia.
Posted by lax mom (Member # 38743) on :
My LLMD told me that silver is a broad spectrum anti-microbial. So, I hope it will hit the co-infections.
I also read somewhere that it can get into the places in the body that antibiotics can't.

Lymenotlite, the book is cheap for a used copy. 12 bucks. Amazon just puts books that aren't in print anymore at a ridiculous price for a new copy.
Interesting that the Dr. who wrote it, cured himself of lyme disease, wrote a book on it, and then was murdered.
Posted by annxyzz (Member # 20404) on :
droid, Have you read the book , or do you know anything about it ?
Just a guess , but perhaps silver penetrates the biofilm if it works on lyme .
Posted by annxyzz (Member # 20404) on :
I just ordered the book after reading reviews at amazon by people who had lyme and improved with silver . Worth a try anyway as the reviews seemed genuine .
Posted by droid1226 (Member # 34930) on :
Ann, no. But I ordered it as well. I also know a girl who got better on it, figured why not.
Posted by annxyzz (Member # 20404) on :
If you google "colloidal silver lyme disease " you will find some interesting feedback at different health boards . A few say they were literally cured with it , but most say they used it and began feeling better after a few months.

Just administered CS eye drops for the first time.
I'll try using them daily for a bit and see how that goes.
I get eye symptoms a few days a month (redness, pressure) so I assume it is part of a Lyme flare.
Posted by lax mom (Member # 38743) on :
VV: keep us updated. My eyes stay soo painfully dry, with alot of pressure.
What brand eye drops are you using? or did you make them?
Posted by VV (Member # 38828) on :
I made the ionic colloidal silver with distilled water and a Sota Silver Pulser.
It comes out to 5-8ppm, which is not as strong as commercial eye drops, so I will likely apply it multiple times a day.
