Okay got my results back from Igenex...
IgM western blot had a positive on 18kDA positive on 31kDa and positive on 41kDA...IgG western blot completely negative.
I believe that I understand this as a positive, correct?
Also what do all these different bands mean?
Thanks!

So three positives on IgM? I believe that's positive. Does it say, "IGeneX positive" and "CDC positive" next to the results?

They both said negative but I thought any positive bands meant a positive>?

I thought when you had 31 and 41 on IgM that it would be positive?? I hope someone else chimes in.

Lyme docs diagnosed clinically because Lyme is a clinical diagnosis supported by testing, not meant to be determined by testing.

For CDC positive you need 23-25, 39 and 41. And for Igenex positive you need 5 bands... so that is why you're negative on both. But that doesn't mean you don't have Lyme though... [Frown]

NO, but it makes sense that if you have LYME SPECIFIC BAND, then you have Lyme. Like...what else could cause it to show up??

IGeneX is 2 of 5 ** bands for both IgG and IgM.

CDC IgG is 5 of 10.

Nope both positive. My results look a little different then what I see other people posted. What do all the positives and negatives indicated on yours SUSANK?

But yes Lymetoo...it makes sense...what else would cause these positives. I feel it has to mean a positive. I have everything else to go along with it such as Chronic EBV, high C reactive protein, streptozyme, hypothyroid, nuero issues just to name a few. The list goes on for years LOL.

I just feel super excited and anxious all at the same time. It has been so many years trying to find out what is causing all this. So I am excited to have answers, but nervous about the treatment. I am schedule to see an doc next week. Cross your fingers !
Thanks everyone for your support!

I have updated my sig. line. I was tested four times by Igenex.
Effectively my little chart shows each band I reacted to - or not - from the four tests.
"I" is IND.
"+ or ++" is the intensity value given by Igenex.
"-" means the band did not show that test date.

I did not include the two IGG 31 IND's which were neg. by epitope test. Maybe I should?

My sig. line/chart is my own creation.
