Any further info on these..how or what it helps??? Safe?? ?No interference with other treatment? Nonna
I want to be better so bad, but not do something that makes it worse. Like last year with steroid shots.. So peeved, cause they knew if I'm on ABX's that it was a high risk... But 2 Dr's said go ahead anyway... I guess they thought I was taking ABX'S for candy or something.... Posted by melliellie (Member # 25004) on :
Nonna: Wobenzym is a systemic enzyme and is safe and beneficial unless you are on blood thinners.
Without getting too technical,it works as an anti-inflammatory and cleans the blood of all the debris so that the debris (CICs) doesn't get hung up in your joints and cause inflammation.
There are also studies re: antibiotic properties but frankly, those are over my head. There is an entire chapter in "The Top 10 Lyme Disease Treatments" re: systemic enzymes.
Because they clean the crud out of your blood, the enzymes can help with herx symptoms too.
You should take your Wobenzym on an empty stomach so that they get absorbed. Otherwise, the enzymes act as digestive enzymes on the food (which can be handy too, but not as beneficial for your lyme symptoms)
More than you wanted to know? : )

Nonna .. The "high risk" of steroid shots is the fact that you have Lyme disease...not the fact that you were on abx.
It's actually GOOD that you were on abx at the time.
- Thanks, mellie.

I just watched Dr. Garth Nicholson from the ILADS conference talk about NTFactor and the amazing things it can do and the studies he has done. The footage is now at Researched Nutritionals. It comes up on the home page and just click on Nicholson link. It is a two part video. I took lots of notes.
Are you with a good doctor than can help you more? Do you see an ILADS doctor? Kari
