I have noticed the last few days that when I blow my nose I have black dust in my kleenex.
Could this be from charcoal? You could imagine with everything that is going on in my body, that I was quite alarmed when I saw this.
What other detox or binder supplements should I consider to replace charcoal?

Maybe you are accidentally inhaling some of it? That's the only way it would be able to get into your nasal cavity.
When I am putting anything powdery into my water, I turn my head away so that I don't breath any it. I don't think you need to change binders so much as just being careful when handling it.

- Other than possibly inhaling some of the charcoal, might it be dried debris from nasal passages?
Has it been more windy lately or have you walked in the autumn leaves? Dust exposure- combined with dry air - will sometimes have my kleenex looking a little dusty, so to speak.
Recently emptied a canister vacuum that has no bag? -

I take the capsules, so I am unsure about the inhalation. Maybe it is coming up???
It has been windy and leaf burning smell outside. I haven't been outside much except to walk the dog.
very bizarre.

- My guess: the smoke. Even if you dont' see it. Just walking the dog will give you a strong "dose" of fine debris from burning leaves.
And some of that can also still get into the house so if you can sense when the leaf burning will start, I hope you can close your windows.
Same when leaf blowers are in action within two blocks of your home. If you hear one, close your windows and try to not go out until they are done.
Leaf blowers stir up a lot of dust and other particulate debris.
You might blow your nose after walking the dog. Hydrate nasal passages with saline spray or use a NET POT. Drinking water will help move particles out of your lungs.
Those who operate a leaf blower (and those close by) should wear face masks to protect their sinuses and lungs AND special ear muffs to protect ears. -

I had this happen when I was in Mexico City. It was so polluted that I had black stuff in my nose! And when I washed out a blouse in the sink, the water turned black.
So I would say it's the smoke too.

I was going to say, it might be from air pollution. If you live anywhere near a coal-burning plant, coal mining, or coal transport, that might be something to look into.
There are other things that could cause this too, like incinerators or certain factories, etc.
It's highly unlikely that it's coming from your activated charcoal supplements (unless you are accidentally inhaling it). I may be wrong, but I don't think it's possible for it to pass into your bloodstream or mucosal tissues or lymph systems.
When I visited London, England in the 90s, I was there for less than 6 HOURS before my Kleenex started becoming black when I blew my nose. Gross!!
Never underestimate the effects of pollution.

I just re-read your post LBS, and saw your mention of it possibly coming back up.
Maybe that could be possible? If it's traveling back up your throat due to GERD or something like that it might be able to get back up into your sinuses when you blow your nose.
