I've had undiagnosed Lyme (symptomatic) for 9 years. Dx last year.

Ive been treating babs with 2 bottles of A-Bab, and I'm on second month of malarone combos.

I've yet to treat clinical Bart dx.

Yes I've been treating parasites.

Every time I treat with a cyst buster I get really depressed and achey.

Right now I'm on 250 mg of tindamax on sat and Sunday .

Obviously these drugs work on cyst form of BB, is it possible my main problem is a large amount of cyst bodies?

I was on doxy 100 mg daily for over three years at the onset of my symptoms 9 years ago. This was dx by a PA for acne when I was 17.

I've seen a study where doxy doubles the amount of cyst bodies.

I'd imagine when you penetrate the cyst form ... BB is disturbed.

I'm only on malarone mon thru Friday and 3 doses of azith mon wed and Friday.

Any thoughts? I hate spending my weekends depressed.

Tindamax and flagyl hit me really hard too. I had a big increase in symptoms. Flagyl was so bad I could not tolerate it.

I wouldn't worry about the doxy you took 9 years ago putting Bb into a permanent cyst form. It comes back out when the coast is clear.

The depression is probably a babesia herx. When you first start serious babesia treatment, especially with atovoquone, it is really hard emotionally. The tindamax if probably increasing the herxing.

Hmmm. I haven't had much herxing during the week while on the Bab meds. I just automatically get a headache as soon as I take the tindamax.

I think the a-Bab helped lessen the amount of herxing on meds. I actually feel a lot better on malarone. It's low dose that may be why.

Who knows.
