I have done a search for brain fog already but was wondering if anybody has any new ideas on how to treat this.
My daughters symptoms have been getting bad again brain fog and headache being the worst. LLMD put her on malarone, zith and liposomal artemisinin to target babs again. No improvement in brain fog at all even tho its only been about 10 days.
This is becoming quite debilitating. Any ideas to try?
Thanks, Deb G

Head symptoms are the last to go with this nasty bug. Probably because it's so hard for antibiotics to penetrate the BBB. I believe most of the brain fog symptoms are due to neurotoxins that are released as this bug is killed off.
A good detox product to absorb these neurotoxins can help some.
There are supplements you can try for brain fog like B-12, activated charcoal, magnesium, drinking plenty of water with lemon to help flush out toxins.
There are other scripts your doctor can order.
I've had it six years now. Sorry to say there is no immediate help.

I think it's just part of lyme and until it's gone, the brain fog will stay. I'm sure MUCH of it is from the toxins being thrown off by the spirochetes.
Hope you find help in someone's suggestions here.
Make sure her diet is good because candida/yeast can also cause brain fog and headaches.

I have had Lymes for over 20 years and over the past five years I have had severe brain fog. I have basically went the natural route for treating my Lymes like SPK - Kroger brand, rifing and other supplements, ceragem bed, coffee enemas and infra red sauna treatments. I didn't get any fog brain relief until I tried Jernigans Neuro Antitox II (Herbal formula). I have had to work very slowly working up 1 drop by drop slowly and now can only handle 5 drops daily after being on it for 6 months. If I went too fast I had an increase of headaches due to an overload of toxins. I take care of my liver and kidneys by taking daily Milk Thistle and Uva Ursi to make sure I don't get headaches from toxins stuggling to leave my body. I can now think so much clearer and I am actually thinking like I used to think. The brain fog for me was due to the over load of ammonia that one gets in the brain from having Lymes disease for an extended peroid of time. This is what has truly helped me. It is just advice, but I hope that you can gleam something from it. May God direct your steps as He is directing mine.
Blessings!
