My right eye, of course the same side of my head where I feel most head symptoms and the eye that droops when it want to.
This eye has been having blurry in and out for some time now. One minute I can see fine, the next everything is blurry, but the other eye is fine.
It's that Benadryl type of blurriness without the Benadryl.
Then without even noticing, the vision is back to normal.
This same eye waters like crazy in the morning while the other doesn't. But it only waters in the morning. Could this be CFS oozing from the eye ?
Sometimes I do notice changes in the eye with body position changes which makes me wonder if this is consistent with my abnormal SPECT scan which shows Hypoperfusion and I feel that too all over the brain.
Anyone else ?

hi there! i get this symptom sometimes. my lyme literate eye doc says its from abnormally dry eyes, which lyme can cause. paradoxically, a watery eye is often caused by dry eyes. some over the counter eye drops may help. they certsinly have with me. best of luck to you.

My GUESS...
It is not spinal fluid leaking from your eye. So relax there.
Usually, and I know this makes NO sense, when an eye waters it means it is too dry. You'd think it was the opposite, but no.
The fact you notice different positions can affect it means your just plain old nuts.
Ok, not. Just teasing. It means, along with the facial droop, that certain facial nerves are being affected.
Check this out and see the different nerves associated with parts of the head and face.
Bottom line, if this were me, I would use "wetting" eye drops to keep the eyes moist and would more importantly, go to a chiropractor and see if they can relieve some of the pressure on the facial nerves so they function better.
Works for me!
Lyme patients seem to have a BAD problem with dry eyes, some of the worst eye docs have ever seen I'm told.
Another thought...
Dandelion tea can help reduce fluid. Sipping on some- one cup or two a day for a couple of days- may help reduce swelling/fluid to stop some pressure on the facial nerves. I mix mine with green tea to help it taste better.
If it continues I would get an eye doc to check it out. NEVER mess with your eyes or delay getting checked. We need them.

My eyes water when my Babesia is flaring. I get the occassional blurry vision, too. I've never noticed whether it's in one or both eyes.
I only get this when my Babs flares. With Bart, my eyes pour mucus.

Buhner suggests using stephania root tincture boiled in some filtered water and use as an eye wash for eye problems associated with lyme. I think its a dropper full of stephania tincture in 1/4 cup water.
I have done that for blurry eyes and it helps. You refrigerate the tincture water mixture after it cools, then use for about 4 days.
Need to replace it with new one every few days to avoid bacteria growing in the water...You can get the stephanie root tinture at Woodland Essence or there are other places... or make your own.
You boil the tincture so the alcohol is removed and doesn't hurt your eye.
I use a big spoon and blink the tincture into my eye or use a clean eye dropper.
You can also try Astanxthanine (SP?) Mercola has promoted that for eye health its a big eye antioxidant. My partner uses it for dry and blurry eyes and it helps.

I have had tons of eye problems. One will feel focused while the other isnt. I have actually had the pupils be different sizes, tons of weird things like that.
Its gotten much better, actually now that you bring it up I notice that I havent had it in a while...

I get the same thing.. one eye will feel normal, and the other is totally blurry. It comes and goes randomly, and can last all day sometimes.
Whenever it happens I think, gee, I'm glad both eyes aren't doing this at the same time, I wouldn't be able to see anything!
Don't know what causes it.

I also have a droopy right eye that does this. It has astigmatism too, that disappears and then comes back, which should be impossible.
In my case, the watery liquid got thicker and burned my eyelashes off at the corners of my eye as well.I also had pain in one small area of the upper eyeball. But, it started with just plain watering and blurriness like you have.
To cut to the chase, it turned out to be uveitis, the 3rd most common cause of blindness, and a common problem in Lyme.(My eye specialist is Lyme-literate.)It is diagnosed with a slit lamp.
I did not like putting the usual treatment which is steroid drops in my eye 3 times daily, which causes awful side-effects and did not work all that well either.
I did some research and found a study done on rats with uveitis. It used a lipidized form of vitamin B1 as treatment and cleared up uveitis in 12 weeks.
This product is called Benfotiamine. A 3 month supply costs about $11 at Vitacost.com. Within only 3 weeks for me most symptoms were gone and have stayed gone for 2 years now, as long as I keep taking it. I do fine with one 150 mg. capsule, but have read you can dose up to 600 mgs. if needed.
I do have some blurrier days, but no pain, no burning or watering and no gooey gunk in the corners. The eye specialist can't find anymore inflammation. Could be worth a try.
