There was another thread here somewhere about this. I would be worried about the transplant material (feces) not being clean (sterile, free of other diseases/bacteria/virus). Plus, it is just kind of gross, but could be lifesaving in some cases.

I believe this will be the standard treatment of the future. It just makes so much sense. The donor logistics will be interesting!!

I have done it and while at first it appears gross, it cured relapsing c difficile. for me, so far for 5 months. After awhile honestly, it isn't gross anymore. It was a lot less damaging than months of vancomycin, and cheaper too. there are several doctors in every state that do it. Hard to find them, like LLMDs.

i understand it's strictly a last case scenario. i think you get to the point that you'll try anything and if it works, then hey, go for it.
