Currently I have done 20 months of treatment for late stage lyme and babesia. At the start of treatment I used a wheelchair and cane to get around then just a cane and now as long as I take it easy I can get around on my own. I use my disability placard on ugly herx days but that is it. I just got the news that my cd57 has jumped from 32 to 85 since August. I am hoping this means I am starting to fight this monster? Or is cd57 not such a reliable indicator? Any thoughts?

According to Dr. B - after treatment doctors want to see the CD57 count above 60. So that is great!!!

More than 60, either 100 or 150 or maybe 200 is needed for normal and avoiding relapse, according to those docs I have read from. Also, I have relapsed a couple times above 60 but below 100, so I have seen that happen

My doc wants us at 150 ideally or near 140. I am at 57, my oldest is 64 and my youngeset is 85. My youngest was the sickest. Our money gets pumped into his supplements. I think I am going to have to find money for BRM4 for my oldest.

I am so happy you are walking around. This is great to hear. I sent your post to a young gal who is 19 and wheelchair bound. She is just starting Lyme treatment after years of misdiagnosis.

You hear not reliable for Cd57, but my ILADS doctor is using it. It is just one part of determining our end of treatment. We must also be symptom free for 3 months.

That's great you have improved so much! Sounds like you are on the right track with your CD57 moving upward into "normal" range.

I have been treating for two years. My CD57 was low, around 40, before treating lyme, and then as lyme was treated, it began increasing to 118 and now it is at 227.

32 to 85 is a big jump in a short period of time. I noticed that once lyme was under control, the numbers started to increase.
