I get this feeling of a lump in the left side of my throat...at one point it was so bad it was hard to swallow. It had been gone for the past 6 months and now it is back.

It is always when I swallow and sometimes I feel in even when I'm not swallowing. It almost makes me feel like I will choke when I eat.

Tests have ruled out that it is anything such as lymph nodes, thyroid or a true lump in my throat.

Has anyone had this? What co-infection might it be?

I never had the feeling of a lump but my throat symptoms were caused by Babesia.

My symptoms started with a clicking sound when I swallowed, then moved on to choking when drinking and choking on my own spit.

I snored like a locomotive too (DH told me) and felt like my throat was collapsing when lying down.

These symptoms would come and go but finally have gone away with Babesia treatment.

Lymp nodes come with a flare of bartonella and you feel like you can not swollow.

I agree the chocking comes with babesia and I have had both symtoms.Only treatment takes care of it.

I treated bart long enough to never had the nodules but when I have had the car accident it came back.

So the chocking and could not breath was from babesia and goes away with the treatment.
