Was hoping to finish babs and start hitting bart but Rifampin and/or yeast problems. Going off rifampin and will try some other drug at next visit.

This is so frustrating. Everytime I think I'm better and almost there, the lyme hammer either hits my stomach or my head. This time both.

Two days ago, GERD and bloating to break the bank. This was a morning of just wanting to give up. My head hurt so bad I thought there would be brain matter on the walls. Now my spleen seems irritated for lack of a better term. I have weird pain under my left rib.

Ugh. Does this ever stop? Am I really just in it forever? How do people cope?

I am sorry it was a yucky day. I have had days like that and wonder if it stops.

It does get better or I got stronger to fight it.

from others it does get better but I wonder WHEN

it will when it's been sooo long.

So I felt better yesterday but overdid it with a trip to Costco on coupon day. Woke up with a knife in my eye today but pain went away with Advil.

Am feeling better now, was a beautiful sunrise and I found some comfort in the new Red Solo Cup song.

I think I now understand why my 8 year old thinks she's going to die. I certainly have had glimpses of that feeling the last few days.

Sometimes getting better has its own torture. I think we forget how bad it was and when we are reminded it's very scary. At least that's how I felt. Just thinking out loud.

It is frustrating and that can be very depressing. It is like a roller coaster ride with so many ups and downs. I am glad you are feeling a little better and can hear the singing. That is a really good sign.

I could have written "another YEAR down the toilet" but I am the eternal optimist always trying to convince myself I am close to well - ha ha.
Realistically, I am much better, but my test results say I sure as heck am not close to well. Just keep on keeping on.

Couple days late and a dollar short, but my 2 cents anyway. LOVE "this, too, shall pass." Only thought that gets me thru some days. That and lots of praying.

Hugs Jackie....I feel the same. Some days are better than others. Wish we could all get well and on with life.

BTW....I love Red Solo Cup....been listening to it over and over for days! It's just a fun song!

Just wanted to chime in with something similar..I know we are all going through a lot but the other day my neuro symptoms were lifted (was nice not feeling like a zombie for a few days)...

...but then by far the worst nausea in existence for three days..but no neuro...i didnt know which one i wanted...

With nausea I couldnt even swallow my own saliva no water no eating...was terrible...barely got my meds down..

Doc told me its the doxy so switched me to omni and now am not nauseous but all neuro "fun" is back with a vengence.

Ugh. Is this something that happens?? Should i have stuck it out with the doxy???

This is so stupid.

gaga--with doxy, take on full stomach, not with dairy. Do not lie down within a few hours of taking.

What about trying Ceftin? Is Omni similar to that? I've done Doxy but I think my go to drug is now Ceftin which I've heard crosses the BBB, but I'm no doctor.

Sorry we are all in the same boat.

I was taking the doxy on a full stomach, no dairy, not laying down...I'm really not sure if the nausea (since the neuro was all gone) was a stomach herx or if it was the doxy.

But stopping the doxy now since LLMD recommended to and neuro is all back. Was curious if the I was experiencing a stomach herx as the next step in getting rid of this bug...

Omnicef is a cephalasporin if I'm not mistaken...so I think from a different family of drugs then what doxy is from (tetracyclines).

I think they go about attacking the bacteria in different ways, but essentially attack the bacteria still. Ceftin and Omnicef are both cephalosporins (penicillins)...

Jackie, Hi ! were you taking Rifampin by itself????? It messes with other meds and for me when I take it I have to hunt down the 150 orange caps...can't do red 300. It takes time but they can find it... Sandoz makes it for sure.....Hang in there .....................

I really am amazed at how rough this all is and what it's doing to my life as well as other's. '

But I look at old post and other sites with old post and people get there some how...

gaga, there is a narvovirus going around -"the winter vomiting bug". It is terrible. Maybe you had it. Sorry the neuro is back.

Thanks for the info nefferdun. Whatever it was those three days were horror but was nice no neuro...what's the better of two evils...

Could've also been my body was done with the doxy...got switched to omni and can eat again and get breathers of no neuro....sssssllllooowwwwllllyyyy heading in the right direction I hope...
