GET YOUR FEET SIZED AGAIN!! Especially if you are over 40-50 or perhaps have gained weight.
Guess what I found out yesterday?? I've been wearing a full size too small in my shoes!! As we age, our feet flatten out. I hadn't had my feet sized in a long time.
Now I have a callous on my second toe and nerve pain in my foot. I may have permanent nerve damage. Must wait two weeks for my shoes to come in because they had to special order them.
So I basically have nothing to wear that is good for my feet until then. (I can't afford two pair right now.)
This truly sucks, but I wanted to warn others!!

My feet were fine until bartonella came along.

No bart here. Never had it, thank goodness!!
I have definite nerve pain in the ball of my foot. (one foot)

So glad you are talking about foot pain!
I'm seeing a podiatrist again for the pain of toes of my feet.
one toe hammertoe, the other toe unexplained as of yet.
I do have bart along with Lyme and co.
I wonder if toe pain is related.
Did anyone with Lyme have hammertoe surgery? Did Lyme make surgery and recovery more complicated?

My calloused toe is getting to be a hammertoe. I'm so upset with myself for not realizing the shoe sizing issue.
Get your feet sized ASAP!

I'll see what the podiatrist says this afternoon.

I have flat feet. I pretty much have like no arch in my feet,. especially when I stand on them
but my sore feet have gotten worse with this disease. and with treating it
I dont know how much of it is the fact that I dont have arches or how much of it has been inflammation caused by the lyme... I guess only time will tell...

I have high arches. They scanned my foot and found that I am not even walking on the middle part of my foot (the outside area). I am walking entirely on the heels and the ball of the foot.
They said they didn't think they had seen anyone's feet quite like that!
I just love being unique.

I was having a terrible time with sore feet. Went to a new shoe store, and was amazed how detailed and thorough a workup they did to fit me to the most appropriate shoes for my lifestyle and feet. It was wonderful.
The pain decreased 90% just with a change in shoes that were actually wide enough to accommodate my odd feet (hereditary bunions, high bone structure with weak/flat arches, split-last - wide front, narrow heel).
The other 10% of the pain went away once I got custom orthotics to provide support for my weak arches.
This was before I knew about Lyme/Bart and the influence on the feet from these infections.

I just went to a shoe store today that carries narrow shoes. I've been wearing B width shoes .. too short. (duh, me)
I found out I should wear a size 4A width with a 6A heel! I am in so much trouble because those shoes are expensive!!!
God blessed me with some birthday money today though and I was able to find some shoes at 60% off. They FIT!!!
