I normally get this at a local ND office, or at woodland essence. But both say they are out until mid Feb.

I have been trying to find a supplier for the last 3 mnths.

Does anyone one know of any other reliable places to purchase it?

Does Woodland Essence have Sida Acuta in stock? Buhner like it best for Babesia....

Nope on the Sida Acuta as well... Not until January 20th.. [Frown]

Some on here use Crypto-Plus, but I'm not sure where they're getting it. It's a combination of Cryptolepis and other anti-malarial herbs.

lululymemom -- very good list of alternative herbs for the different infections.

According to Buhners latest posts -- I would add sida acuta to both babesia and bartonella lists. I would also add cryptolepis to the bartonella list. Turmeric should also be added to the babesia list.

Hubby placed an order with Woodland Essence today. Due to the artemisinin shortage they are running very low on cryptolepis. Pretty much sold out their stock in 1 day. Expected date for next available shipment is mid February.

Just realized that artemisia and artemisinin are not on babesia list above.

The sida acuta just became available after waiting for 3 months. But the stock of that is also going fast.

Thanks, Bea.. I will be adding that to the list for Babesia and Bartonella. Turmeric or Curcumin is also great for all three treatments.

Anyone concerned about the ephedrine content of Sida Acuta, here is the response I received from Stephen:

It is about equivalent to a cup of tea, very, very weak, nothing at all like ephedra. If concerned you could just try a small bit, 10 drops or so and see how she responds. If you want an alternative, you could try alchornea cordifolia. Woodlandessence also carries that.

This is a great thread - thanks Lulu and Bea!

I am trying to get rid of the last little bit of Babesia and could use some advice.

I'm on day 23 of full strength Crypto and planning to get to day 30 before backing down the dose.

But yesterday and today my liver is hurting just a smidge and I've never in all my treatment had any problem with it, so this is new to me.

I'm thinking I'll skip the crypto today but also thinking maybe I could try Curcumin. I know Brussels used Noni and Curcumin to wipe up the last bit of her Babesia.

Could you tell me, am I looking at a spice here? To make a tea maybe or is this a pill? Very Curcumin illiterate, I'm afraid.

Thanks for any advice. (where, what, when, how)

Stephen recommended for babesia to use Curcumin Xanthorhizza. It is also an ingredient in Byron Whites A-Bab. Here is the link where we bought it. The shipping is also very reasonable and arrives very quickly.

Liver pain could indicate elevated enzymes. Dandelion tea and milk thistle could help. We also used Burbur and Pekana. It might be a good idea to have them checked.

Oh, and we even used a fresh ginger and turmeric(spice) tea to help with the liver.

Another one to add to the babesia and bartonella lists is EGCG (extract from green tea).

Neem and noni both can be included on the babesia list as well -- there are pubmed articles on both for babesia. For some reason I don't think Buhner likes neem though.

Thanks, Lulu, I will check it out.

I'm sure between the two of you, Lulu and Bea, this thread will help many get a clearer understanding of herb treatment.
