About every week I need to urinate frequently and at the same time have trouble sleeping. I feel nervous and jittery. What would be causing this?

It could be bartonella which loves the bladder. It feels like a urinary tract infection but does not test positive for one. Bart also gives you insomnia and is very neuro, affecting the nerves. I was extremely irritable.

When I started bart therapy, the urge to urinate all the time went away. Then the irritation got better. I also had depersonalization which gradually got better. Last to go was the insomnia.

Did you get tested for a (UTI)?

I tested for a UTI and it was negative. None of the drugs I was taking did anything until I took drugs for bart - specifically levaquin and later bactrim ds.

OK, which antibiotic is used for Bart? I have these systematic issues. And an antibiotic was added. And Valium 5mg four times a day.

Valium is addictive. Might consider Elmiron or Vistaril. (two very different meds for the bladder)

I am allergic to benzo's. I get drug induced Parkinson syndrome from them. I was wondering if my MD is using the right antibiotic. I see the LLMD for first time March 27th. I have already stopped using the Valium. Used it for 5 to 6 days and it help tremendously. But am I on the right antibiotic for Bart? Minocycline, flaygel, and Amantadine.

The frequent urination thing happens about once every week or so and it does not bother me in between. I also get a craving for something that I haven't found yet. I end up eating a lot of sugar but that does not satisfy what I am looking for. I'm wondering whether it might be pancreas. After a day or two, the symptoms go away leaving me tired for a day.

Maybe it's yeast related?

PS - Just a wild thought... Do you think it could be related to increased exposure to radiation...?

I had no idea that bartonella loved the bladder. I have had urinary and bladder problems for two years. It always feels like a uti but never is. I have had two cystoscopies, two cat scans, many urine cultures and they never find anything.
