Does anyone have any info on drinking alkaline water?

If you want alkaline water, you don't have to buy an expensive machine, and you don't have to waste the acidic half of the water by pouring it down the drain.

Just boil your water, and it stays alkaline plenty long enough to drink it. We tested this with pH strips to make sure it's true.

You could also put baking soda in it... There's been alot of talk about this issue here. You could try doing a search of this site for lots of threads about it.

I bought a small alkaline water maker from a zealous friend. I did not see any difference so I gave it to my son who also notices no changes.

Since I don't eat sugar or meat, my body is not that acidic I guess.

I also got a special blend of juice that costs $70 a bottle (from this same friend) which is fixed up to arrive every month and I don't know how to get it off my credit card. I wish I was not so gullible.

One site promoting and selling these machines talks about a village where people lived well into their 90's because of their natural alkaline water. I looked up that village to discover they are also vegans!

I'm not so sure it's a good idea to make your body too alkaline in any case. We need stomach acid to digest food & get rid of parasites.

In some cases it's useful but not for everyone. The body needs balance.
