I don't understand why every nite, after consuming a big meal, like tonite, 12 oz. of chicken, veggies & black rice & glass of gatorade, i am hungry half hour later. where did the food go?
I had a endo. & colonscopy 3 weeks ago & Doc. found nothing wrong, at least as far as he can tell.
Have lost 30 pounds since July.
Anybody have similar symptoms.
thanks, gejr1

- ** GATORADE?
Oh, my. That can cause lots of damage from the chemicals in it. It could also be causing the symptom of needing more food, as the additives excite the brain, wanting more, more, more.
Even the plastic bottle can cause symptoms.
I would bet it's the Gatorade. I would bet everything in my back account on it (the whole $3.00 but I would bet more as I'm pretty sure about this possibility).
There are other electrolyte products. Much better ones. And food really is the best source.
If you want flavor, look to teas, from leaves or tea bags but
avoid all "natural flavors" in anything. They are usually not at all "natural" and addictive, just like crack to our brains, in most cases (sometimes, they really are from real food but you really need to search that out with each product).
** FAT?
You may not be getting the fat you need. Fat satiates hunger in about 20 minutes.
Do you drizzle extra virgin olive oil on your food just before serving? Or other good oil? It's vital.
** TOO MUCH PROTEIN all at once?
12 oz. of chicken at one meal can stress the kidneys. I wonder if there's a reason why you are consuming that amount (3 x the suggested serving) in one sitting. Our bodies can only digest & metabolize so much at one time. Six ounces might go down well but I just wonder about twelve.
If you are trying to gain weight, it's best to eat more often but sill smaller amounts so as not to overwhelm the organs as they have lots of work to do with what you consume.
I don't mean to criticize, really, just looking at this like a detective. Please "hear" "nice tone" to this. -

- If you post the specific kind of Gatorade you drink, I'll look up the ingredients. -

Parasites are knwon to cause the symptoms you describe and if infected can be sharing your food causing weight loss and hunger pangs.
Google parasite symptoms and do a search on here under parasites. They are often an overlooked co-infection of Lyme.

thanks for the info. Keebler.
I guess i thought if i ate alot of protein during one big sitting i would gain some weight, but i guess it's counter productive.
I"ll have pick up some xtra virgin oil & start dribbling like you suggest.
hey glm, i know there may be parasites in there, but within a half hour, hungry again, how fast do these monsters eat. Do i try the parastroy even though i'm on abx.
thanks, again.

Yes you can try the parastroy while on abx. Just take about an hour away from abx.
To the "how fast do they eat" As fast as it's going in. Just think of how quick a fish will gobble food when fed. Sorry for being graphic, but it's true.
That's why it's important to take the herbs with food. I don't put anything in my mouth without taking antiparasitics, digestive enzymes and extra HCL.

- I'm so glad Gael answered here. I just thought of the parasite possibility. Ticks carry parasites, too.
I'm still very concerned about that Gatorade, though. -

Wow I have this same thing happening and although I haven't been Dx with Lyme (yet), I do worry about parasites! Which totally grosses me out. I have to eat constantly, and I do not gain weight. I will have to see if they will test for that too. Fats to help, like coconut oil by the spoonful, almond butter and olive oil on chicken.

I needed to eat enormous sized meals and would still be hungry, and all that changed when I treated for fungus with diflucan and nystatin. I didn't treat for parasites until much later.

I'd want to be checked for diabetes and reactive hypoglycemia. Not sure if hypoglycemia causes weight loss but diabetes can if it is not controlled. Hunger soon after meals can be caused by both.

I lost 35 lbs from lyme, bacteria problems in my gut, parasites and c diff too. et al. The thing that turned this around I think was homemade kefir and VSL DS, and cordyceps and thyroid medication, acupunture. But it took almost a year. And a an organic, low sugar , low wheat, low milk diet.
I have gained ten lbs over the last month and feel better.
