And boy, was it an ordeal!

I went to San Diego for a dentist following the Huggins Protocol.

Got food poisoning ONE DAY before my appointment. YIKES.

I got my fever down in time for the first appointment.

Got the right side of my mouth replaced. Went to acupuncture, went "home" to my friends house, fell asleep, and woke up sick as a dog.

I'm sure it was from the food poisoning.

My next appointment was set for 5 days later.

I spent ALL WEEK trying to feel better. I was having major intestinal cramping, a urinary tract infection, it was AWFUL.

I was prescribed Macrobid for the UTI, and that gave me lung pain.

Finally got "good enough" just in time for my last appointment (thank God).

Went to acupuncture, went "home" to rest and cook dinner, and PACK. My "vacation" was over lol.

But, the important thing is that the 31 surfaces of amalgam fillings are GONE!

I came home and even though I was still "sick" I went straight to work. Been working full time since!

I don't know if I should continue to detox mercury still. Any suggestions?

I have:

Zeolite, Alpha Lipoic Acid, NAC
Burbur, Pinella, Parsley (nutramedix)
and I already finished Chlorella.

OOOOH--- and... I think I caught my first COLD!
(I shouldn't be happy about this lol, but I haven't been able to catch colds for a long time). Pretty sure its from the sick people in the office. The symptoms are all the same, same order and everything!

This is good, no?

Congrats!!

What do you mean by "surfaces"? You did have the whole amalgam removed, right?

Thank you!!

Surfaces... one tooth can have multiple surfaces (that's how they charge per tooth).

I had 17 teeth with Amalgam fillings.

But many of them had multiple surfaces filled.

One tooth (a really bad one) had 4 surfaces filled. So needless to say, there's not much of my original tooth there lol.

And YES, I am metal free [Smile]

I am reactive to some of the composites I had put in recently too (last year). So some day, I will like to replace those.

But being amalgams are 47% mercury, and I tested highly reactive to it, I figured that would be the most important to address first.

Once the fillings are removed, it is necessary to detox the total body in order to get rid of the mercury that has been moving into the various body compartments, joints, etc. It is very important that you start a supervised detoxing program to get rid of the mercury in the brain/Central Nervous System and the rest of the body.

Now at least by removing the fillings you have stopped moving more mercury into the rest of the body. But what is there, is there, and you are not metal-free. I wish this were so. But you may not get the benefit of metal-free until you are actually metal-free. Do some googling on the internet asking specific questions and you will find answers. Detoxing can take a long time, especially if you fall into the KPU category. So you may want to check that out too.

The chemical form of mercury in the teeth is a different one compared to the escaped form which settled in the brain and other body areas. The latter one is more difficult to remove (methylmercury compared to organic mercury) and that is why you need to get help from someone who can guide you.

Wishing you the best - take care.

if you only have a minimum, like two for me, do you still have to detox?

and the dentist assured me they tak all precautions like dams, etc., special suctions, etc.

yes, you still have to detox. We have the research and have had it for many years that within 48 hours of installation of the amalgam fillings in the teeth, some of the mercury has escaped and is found in the Central Nervous System.

If you have problems getting well, all these factors. including ruling out KPU, has to be addressed. In other words, some of the mercury is already in the rest of the body - it leaves the teeth constantly, biting, chewing, drinking, talking, etc. The mercury escapes as a vapor from the teeth, moves up the nerves and settles down as a solid mercury again wherever it lands.

If you put a bit of mercury on the table and you see it there, it will have evaporated shortly thereafter, so you can no longer see it on the table. But it turns into another form of mercury and is probably hanging somewhere on the wall or carpeting, etc. Most of the dentist offices where no precaution is taken are contaminated with mercury. That is the battle we have been fighting trying to stop this nonsense.

Some people don't to well with one filling and some go on for years with many. If you are sick for one reason or another, this factor has to be addressed.

I had to do it - If I hadn't, I would probably not be alive today. I was very very sick and am still detoxing metals years later - luckily it is quite easy to do and quite simple by paying attention to binders and having learned to do energetic testing myself.

You can do it! And feel better soon!

Take care.

Congrats!! Good for you. Such a shame you were slammed with food poisoning, UTI, etc. Wish it was easier. But you made it!! Keep the detox going.

I hope this brings you many more steps ahead toward healing.

Best to you.

Thanks guys!

I'm pretty stoked about it too [Smile]

And I don't think any of us are completely 100% ever metal free. What I meant was, my teeth were. That's whats most important to me. With the environmental toxins all over, none of us are 100% pristine, and I don't think that should be the goal. The goal should be to FEEL healthy! And be happy.

I'm excited to retest and see where I'm at on EDS with mercury levels. Then I'll have an idea of what to use for detox.

I'm confused. You said you still have some composites left.. I thought they replaced the amalgams with composites.

That is a lot of fillings to replace! I was told the composites are much harder to put into large spaces. Did the dentist have any trouble getting them to seal?

Can you tell us more about the procedure. How long did it take?
I can hardly stand to have one filling done, much less 31 replaced! It takes much longer to have a composite done because it takes so long to cure it.

Did the dentist give you anything to relax you? I would like to be knocked out.

Good for you - very brave. I bet your teeth look nice too.

Well done, Fyrecracker!

As Gigi says, it is crucial that you now embark on a programm to help you to get rid of stored mercury. Go to a specialist if you can for advice.

Increase your probiotics in the meantime, as, in my experience, removing some of the metal [ie the amalgams] can lead to large yeast overgrowth.

Good luck,

Carry
