ann told me to try feverfew for migraines.

now i've never heard of this but i checked online and apparently it's an old fashioned remedy and lots of people use it. it's in a product called migrairelief or something like this.

i'm half tempted to try it.

There are many headache formulas that use feverfew. As with any herbal/natural product there can be interactions so read about it before you take it. I had huge headache problems which resolved (for the most part) with abx treatment of Lyme (years ago) and ongoing acupuncture/supplements for lingering problems.

I don't know if it is safe to take with RX migraine medicines. It may be safe to try if you are taking the feverfew alone.

When I started treatment, I remember reading that a surprising number of natural migraine remedies could interact with RX migraine medicines. So if you have started taking the topamax and imitrex prescriptions that you mentioned before then you may want to hold off on trying the feverfew. See how the new meds work for you.

randibear, do you also have TMJ? I can't remember if you do or not... If so, TMJ may be triggering or making your migraines worse. I just learned about this connection. If you treat the TMJ then your migraines may disappear (this is common according to my doc).
