I am taking the compounded product called Enhansa from Lee Silsby. I have worked up to full dose this week of 3 a day. I was feeling so good in late January and now am blah again.

Can part of the increased symptoms be from curcumin? It sounds like mostly an anti-inflammatory. I pasted some info on it below.

Curcumin is the main ingredient in Turmeric, a plant from the ginger family. Numerous scientific studies (see partial list) have shown the health benefits of Curcumin such as having anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidant benefits and promoting a healthy liver function.

Enhansa is a proprietary blend of curcuminoids derived from the rhizomes of Curcuma longa (Curcumin). Enhansa does not contain any ingredients other than what is extracted from the rhizomes of Curcuma longa. It is the specific ratio of curcuminoids, along with the specialized method of extraction, which allows for the unique benefits of Enhansa as compared to other Curcumin products.

Any thoughts?

I love curcumin. Yes, it's an anti-inflammatory. I wouldn't think you would herx on it, but what else is in Enhansa??

I take Curcumin by NOW brand.

I take curcumin capsules and so far, no herxing, just a very pleasant reduction in joint swelling.

I felt that I had a "smallish" herx on it, if such a thing exists, LOL, :-))

Personally (JMO)

I find the Enhansa different than other curcumin/turmeric capsules.

I did a protocol with it for my daughter 2 years ago, got to max dose and did vitamin C push, and she broke out in viral rash head to toe for 1 month-

I've taken it, feels different to me than say, Longvida brand.

I have some Enhansa here, but take a different brand- afraid it will work in 'issues' and I've got enough going on!
I just want help with inflammation.

I have used the raw herb in high doses on and off over the last 6 years and I am convinced there is a fairly pronounced die off effect at start up. Each time I get the 3 days or so of feeling great followed by a crash.

It took me about a half dozen of these experiences over the years to finally put the pieces together and realize/admit what was happening.

Thanks everyone! I want to keep taking it.
Does it do anything besides reduce inflammation?
No antibacterial properties?

What is in Enhansa? Enhansa does not contain any ingredients other than what is extracted from the rhizomes of Curcuma longa.
