Cold Calm - it is a homeopathic medicine but I've seen it at CVS. It works - just dose it as directed - takes about a day to really take effect.

Saline nasal spray

Breathing in steam

I like the Vicks nasal decongestant inhaler - it is not habit forming and helps clear up your nose.

Rest if you can!

Feel better.

Peppermint oil on your temples. Be careful not to get it in your eye !

Neti pot - make sure its with purified water

Extra zinc, c and d

Chicken soup

Colds are supposed to be a good sign of your immune system doing its job.

Hang in there Tricia386 !

Alka seltzer plus was always the one I used back before Lyme and I got colds. I haven't had one for 3 years.

I'm towards the end of a really bad cold. I call it Lyme a al mode. [Smile] At one point, a couple of days ago, it was so bad, my hair hurt.
I've been staying home and sleeping a lot. I tried 3 different over-the-counter remedies to relive the congestion, sore throat, cough and achiness. My favorite was "NyQuil Cold and Flu Nighttime Relief". I hear Zicam nasal spray will make you lose your sense of smell. I've been taking Zicam lozenges instead.
