I have parasites and concerned about taking anything that could make matters worse.

Could aloe juice make stomach acid worse where parasites could thrive?

Most of it has citric acid in it, so it's not like it's completely alkaline.

I can't tolerate the liquid forms for that reason. I use Nature's Herbs aloe vera GELCAPS.

Wow, I don't know about the parasites, but I have babs (parasite) and it seems to do fine with everything I eat or drink, so I don't know if I'd worry about it too much.

I did see Kathy Freston on Dr. Oz and she swore by the stuff (I think it was her). She said that it's as good (soothing) for our insides as it is for our outside skin.

Hmm this is timely as I just started taking Aloe Vera juice today to try to heal leaky gut.

I have no idea if this is bad to do while treating parasites which I am also doing.

What daily amount of Aloe are you taking RZR?

I mix aloe juice and gel with my herbs in applesauce. Aloe is very healing to mucus membranes. I healed 3rd degree burns on my hand with aloe.

I do think it works against parasites as well since it is a bitter herb. You can also mix it with other juice to make it more palatable. Pomegranite for example is antiparasitic.

For the last couple of years I have been taking this; Lily of the Valley Stomach Formula.

I buy it from Swanson's. It also has Peppermint, Ginger Root, Slippery Elm and others herbs.

It really soothes the stomach!

My husband had to go off Prilosec per LLMD's recommendation.

He takes Aloe Vera juice along with some Stomach Comfort tablets.

He doesn't know whether it helps or not. He misses his Prilosec [Frown]

Skin is not the same as mucus membranes - and what is good for one is not necessarily good for the other.

Aloe irritates mucus membranes.

Aloe heals skin.
