I was wondering how many people here have an experience with congenital lyme?

In my family's case, we believe my husband got it from his mother in the womb, and just started getting really bad in his mid twenties. They believe that his grandmother probably had it as well.

Also in my own case, i am suspicious that my mother may have it due to her similar health issues. My grandmother also has similar health issues as both of us, and now has dementia.

Anyone else have a family history like this? Our poor son [Frown] wish i had known while pregnant so i could have taken antibiotocs to try to minimize the probability of transmission

Wheelwatcher,

You had no idea. If you had known, of course you would have taken antibiotics during pregnancy. Me too.

I have wondered the same thing.

My 72 yr old mom has slept 75% of her life away.

She grew up on a farm as well. Ticks were just a part of life.

My main symptom originally was extreme fatigue. I felt like I could sleep for days. Knowing what I now know, I wonder if her body has also been fighting off low-grade infection her whole life.
