I had the HLA DRB DQB tests done and my LLMD told me this genetic predisposition I have is going to give me a hard time to detoxify my Lyme.

I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge with this test or if I could PM my results and see if they can help me interpret them so I can better understand what it means?

Its pretty confusing to say the least.

I have the "dreaded" genotype 4-3-53.

Survivingmold.com has a lot of helpful info in my case.

which test is this and is it only done at Labcorb?

It was done through labcorp and my doctor wrote down that its is 4-3-53 and 11-3-52. From what aperture is saying I dont think that's great then:(

Gerg,

the dreaded 4-3-53, is the genotype that makes it difficult to get rid of borellia (lyme) and mold toxins.

The best you can do for yourself is to use binders. Has your doctor talked to you about this? Things like Cholestyramine (rx), and natural products like bentonite clay, activated charcoal are used. The best thing to do would be to discuss this with your doctor and see what they recommend.

It's not impossible to detox, just much harder. I have the same genotype as you do.

I just started Cholestyramine a few days ago. Feelfit is right, we just need a little extra help in the detox dept.

I have to listen to my body and take antibiotic breaks when it gets too rough.

Thanks for the help and I'm on an excellent detox program with my llmd so as long as I stick to that I'm hoping to get through this. I know what you mean about taking breaks though. Sometime I will take my antibiotics and then I feel like I crash and my pain gets worse. I had to cut back and sometimes skip doses here and there. i also increase my detox supplements to help fight it too.

I will make sure to do some more research and talk to my doctor.
