Dr. said I have a somewhat flat curve with low waking cortisol levels, but that it is not that off. He recommended the supplement Adren-all. Is anyone else familiar with any of this?

Is this the saliva test you had? I've so far only had the blood and it shows low cortisol. But I am planning the saliva test.

Sorry not at all familiar about that product. I am trying myself to figure the adrenal aspect of healing.

Hopefully, when the post goes up, you will get more knowledgable replies.

Yeah, I did the saliva tests. It looks like the Adren-all is all natural, so I'll give it a go! All of my thyroid tests have been normal thus far, so looks like I have slight adrenal fatigue or just low morning cortisol levels? I'll have to ask my dr. more about it at my next appt., I don't want to bombard him with emails [Smile]

Is there anything anyone can actually do to fix adrenal fatigue? Other then take the natural Adren-all that someone mentioned above?

I have found that taking the whole food supplement Maca to be the best for not just the adrenals, but all around for the entire endocrine system...

I started out on a product called Adrenal Cortex and it was great...but not enough...

Getting on Maca, turned my life around...

The endocrine system gets really taxed with chronic illness...and the adrenals are very important for getting better...but the system as a whole needs a boost...

Problem with tests...from what I have learned...is that if you Don't have a baseline reading...say from before you were sick...its really hard to have an accurate test...

You just get slumped into the general category...so what the doctor considers a little low...could in reality be very low for your own body...but without a baseline reading before getting sick...no one can tell...

But the saliva tests are the better tests in general...

Where do you get Maca, Christine?

My husband uses Dr. James Wilson's adrenal supplements. In a weeks time he could say he was feeling better.

In the first month of using those supplements he went from struggling to work 2 1/2 hours a day to working 5 hours a day.
