I am seriously considering having my fillings (I have about 4) changed to mercury-free, I wanted to hear from the people that have had this done, I have so much going on right now, I just want to know if people think it's really worth it and may really be adding to my problems.(I have read up on it pretty extensively), but really want to hear from the people on here. I also understand it's pretty expensive. thanks

or could I have my dentist switch to the white fillings? plastic I guess?

If you do it gradually, over time, it might not be so bad. I think we have to look at this detox as a lifetime situation.
The white composite fillings aren't toxin-free either but I think they are better than having a known toxic waste product in your head.

I had 8 removed, replaced with composite, over a period of about 6 weeks. I did supportive detox under the care of a ND prior to removal and for a period of time after removal.
For ME, no change in neuro symptoms, unfortunately. I am having the possibility of metals looked at closer when I see a new LLMD soon. I have read others say it's the best thing they did to help with symptoms. Wish that was the case for me too. TS

I had it done back in 1991. Every molar had an amalgam filling. My dental insurance covered some of it.
I went into remission after chelation. I continued to eat right and exercise. I didn't have many symptoms again for about 12 years until a new bite in 2003.

Just my observation...
It may be that the body sequesteres the toxins in various places. If you do not have the proper genectics, the toxins will not be released & excreted. Being exposed to a pathogen like Lyme may cause the genetics stress & create a toxic loop where the body cannot excrete the toxins.
This may not be the case for everyone but it may be part of the reason why some people don't get better after having the fillings removed. You may have to look into correcting the problem of either KPU or MTHFR or both.
I just started looking into this & I think it may be a piece of the puzzle. You can't really do a proper detox of metals until you get the fillings out. Anything you take to chelate metals will pull the mercury out of the fillings & make things worse.

I just had one done. The day of I felt lighter. The next day, I felt pretty toxic. I chelated last night and am hoping that I will feel better here soon. I need to address KPU and I am going to order the CORE right this minute. Thanks Sparkle for the reminder...
