Hi Everyone, been some time since I've been on this board. My daughter who is now 16 is still struggling to beat this lyme. We got to a point where the doc took her off abx to see how she was doing and her symptoms returned quite quickly and now she is back on. I was wondering if anyone experiences dibilitating headaches. She gets them so bad that she can't lift her head off the pillow. She misses at least one day a week from school due to them. I'm always asking her LLMD if we should get a cat scan or MRI, just to rule out anything more serious and he's always like, Lyme patients always get headaches and this bothers me alot. I'm seeing him tommorrow again and I'm going to press him once more, if he doesn't, I'll take her to the pediatrician and try to get her to give her one. Does anyone else suffer from these headaches? She says there not in one place, they move around her head. She even vomited this morning because it was so bad.
Thanks for your help.
Laurie

I also get daily headaches, but generally not as debilatating as you describe. My Dr. Thinks its more due to the coinfections, babesia or bartonella, as they are most often behind the eyes, a lot like sinus issues. Alleve, etc. Doesn't touch them. It gets to the point where the only thinng that helps is laying down, preferably in the dark, and taking a nap. They have improved with the antibiotics though.

Has she been tested for ehrlichiosis or babesiosis? Once I was treated for these, my headaches pretty much went away. I also removed gluten and artificial sweeteners as this seemed to help.

Weekly flares means babs to me.

If I'm off all antibiotics and sometimes even if I'm on them, I get a headache every single week. It's really bad like I'm going to pass out or throw up from it. One time I actually had a seizure from it.

My doctor (who mainly treats other conditions) also thinks it's babesia. He would send me for an MRI if I want, but I chose not to. In my particular case, I went to several doctors with my symptoms, they did tons of blood work, and everything except my lyme western blot, CD57 and liver enzyme level was normal.

I've been getting bad headaches-I believe mine are sinus issues-the pollen count is off the charts here, and I get sinus migraines.

I think allergies are too much for our bodies when also dealing with lyme.
