My head feels like it's in a bubble. I have pain in my head, but it's more the sense that my brain is encompassed in great amounts of fluid that's the main problem.
My head feels heavy and off balance. The left side of my face is tingly with odd sensations. I didn't sleep last night because every time I closed my eyes, I was spinning.
Also, as I lay there in bed pleading for God to take this away, my head would fill...and fill...with pressure, until I thought it would surely burst. It went away briefly, just at the moment I thought my head should explode, only to start again...over and over again...all.night.long.
In fact, it's still happening this morning, along with leg muscle weakness, left hand sensations, red/hot ears, shortness of breath and a whole host of other symptoms/sensations.
Can most of this be explained as neurological? It waxes and wanes. I could feel ok in an hour...or it might not be for days. Typically worse in the evening/at night. So disappointed that I am now dealing with this in the morning. Just thankful that I haven't had any palpitations this morning (Yet).
Thanks for your opinions.

Have you treated for babesia. Sounds a lot like babesia symptoms to me.

I started Bactrim DS ahout 3 days ago. I think it's for babesia? SO right now I'm on Zith and Bactrim DS and I'm supposed to add Omnicef and Malarone shortly. Does any of this make sense? I'm in a freaking nightmare right now and trying to function through a normal day. Can't do it.

Hi... I've been having similar symptoms. Started Mepron/Zithro 3 weeks ago for Babesia and starting to feel much better. Head no longer feels like its going to explode.

Bactrim is more for bart than babs. The malarone will address the babs.
Hope it helps when you get on those meds!

Bactrim is used to treat babesiosis, so it may be causing your babs symptoms to flare.
Hold on. Hopefully, the flare will end shortly.
Try detoxing--drink lots of water with lemon slices squeezed into it. Whatever other detox methods you have.
Dr. H recommends the following for a herx:
For Herxheimer reactions: 2 Alka-Selzer Gold (no aluminum) in 8 ounces of water with lemon or lime followed by 6-8 capsules of glutathione or 1500 mg or oral liposomal glutathione. 70% will feel better in hours. On the topic of water: Dilution is the solution to pollution. This suggests that in order to help our bodies detoxify, we must drink more water.
