I'm only on 50 drops and I take it all at once.

Despite the terrible taste, I do it all under the tongue.

Within an hour, massive fatigue hits me. Almost a bit of relief from my horrid Anxiety as it does seem to calm me down a bit, but my Babesia is also Flaring outside of the fatigue.

I take the Mepron/Zithromax away from the Cryptolepis, so I know it's the Cryptolepis doing this.

If I had to guess, the Crypto seems to be hitting my Babs more then the Mepron, or so it feels.

Anyone else ?

I take it and yes it is the foulest tasting stuff on earth. I am always fatigued and on many meds so I can't tell what is the culprit sorry! I take a tsp 3 times a day.

Hard to say. I am on the same regimine as you - plus Doxy.

I take 3 tsp. a day and do not seem to notice any distinct pattern with the side effects and/or herx.

I do get sleepy after taking it, but I assumed it was from yeast. It tastes like prune juice to me (1 tsp 3x/day).

You say you put the 50 drops right under the tongue.

The dose may be too high at this time.

It's also best to put all tinctures in at least 1/2 glass of water, maybe more.

By putting directly in the mouth, a huge spike in blood sugar could occur (later with a drop of energy &/or mood) due to the alcohol shock under the tongue.

The tincture will have a much smoother effect being delivered in water, less chance of sharp shifts in blood sugar (either direction) and far less chance of the body reacting to the alcohol shock under the tongue.

Even ONE drop of any tincture right under my tongue will send my body into a sort of alcohol shock and I will feel ill. That drop (or more) in water has much calmer effect.

Although taste really does not matter in the full scheme of things, it will not be so intense diluted in water. You could even put it in a full cup of water and even sip it for a half hour or so.

Couldn't tell if you take 50 drops a couple times a day or all at once. It's important to divide doses 2 - 4 times throughout the day.

Still, about the fatigue. I've not quite made peace with it but, IMO, fatigue is just going to be part of the deal until a good remission is attained.

Once we can recognize our best pattern for resting, etc. or to time treatments so we can better predict when we need to rest, at least that degree of control helps.

Most herbs intended to address infection DO cause fatigue for me. How can they NOT? The body is working hard and has to shut down what it considers non-essential tasks. So to speak.

However, Cryptolepis did not cause fatigue for me. In fact, I felt better with it, with a bit clearer brain and a sense that I might actually have some energy left in me after all. I was really surprised and found that promising.

I agree Keebler, my brain is also better than before I started it. I can think and reason better than I could before.

I do get yeast with it though. It is a root (starch), which feeds yeast (I am so sensitive). But I'm not going to let that stop me. I am upping my probiotics. I think the crypt is worth it.

Yes, high doses can kill too fast loading the bloodstream, liver, and spleen with RBC debris.

Your BP will drop and you will clonk out.

Lighten up on the dosage and add red root

I found it better to take 20 drops 3 x day.

I started it at 1 tsp 3xday for 30 days (full dose) and then dropped down to 20 drops 3xday (long-term dose).

After 3.5 months of cryptolepis and then 1 month of candida treatment, all my babesia symptoms are gone. (I do realize my babesia load was much lower than yours.)

Stick with the crypto if you can.

Wait..Crypto. feeds yeast??? Thanks for bringing that to attention.

I did not know that. Hum..time to up my pro.'s and yeast killers.

I've never heard of crypto feeding yeast and it doesn't cause yeast issues in my case.

I thought Crypto killed yeast.

If anyone got that from my post, I don't know anything about a crypto yeast connection. I had yeast (slight white tongue) before I ever started crypto so I knew I'd hit that layer sooner or later and I did.
