I have just been diagnosed with Lyme and babesia. My Igenex test results:

IgM
31 ind, 34+, 41+

IgG
31 ind, 39 ind, 41++

I am wading through all the options. My LLMD has given me the option of abx or the Buhner protocol or a mixture of both.

I've been looking into the Marshall Protocol as well. This one is the scariest, as there is so much conflicting information regarding vitamin d and it's metabolites.

I realize that everyone is different, but I would love any and all input into which direction to start in.

I have already self treated somewhat by taking

- olive leaf extract
- magnesium
- vitamin B
- coenzyme Q10
- milk thistle
- broad spectrum enzymes.
- IR saunas
- epsom salt baths

I do feel better since I started.

The time has come to decide on a treatment and stick to it, though. Any thoughts?

I studied it in detail and would not suggest the Marshall Protocol UNLESS you are TOO HIGH in one of the categories of Vitamin D. Most are low and this is not intended for them.

The MP is not very flexible and does not address coinfections. It's nearly impossible to take support supplements and you'd likely have to avoid the sun all summer, wear special glasses, etc.

Although, with doxycycline, sun avoidance is also necessary.

I'd start by getting Buhner's book - and Zhang's.

I think it's a good idea to select a path but there is no straight line to remission - for anyone. For each person, it's a different combination & rotation - with frequent adjustments.

Most seem to do best with both Rx antibiotics and support supplements. Some who have trouble with Rx, may use a RIFE machine.

For Babesia. Has your doctor suggested CRYPTOLEPIS s. tincture? Hope so.

I'm doing Buhner. Had a tough time with abx and the gut. So far I'm liking Buhner.

Whatever you do just be sure to take it slow so you know how you react and be sure to read up first so you don't end up going down a road you ultimately don't want to go down.

I mix Buhner with ABX. The ABX that works for me being Doxy + Tindamax, but this is after 2 years of ABX mega dosing with an LLMD

MP is a last ditch effort. I would avoid even then.... and keeb is right.. it does not address coinfections, which you are sure to have.

Do a search here on MP...
