I can hardly stand up with 10 drops of sida acuta . The dose is supposed to start much higher , but I can not function as it is .

Any suggestions ? I am having a hard time even standing for a few minutes the fatigue is awful.

Does it kill more than babs ? Also , is it helping anyone ? Are there any reports of it working ?

Not familiar with sida acuta, but when starting a new protocol, I always started at a lower dose that required.

You might want to consider cutting the dose down to 5 drops until you can tolerate it better, or even lower than that. You also can take a little break until the herx calms down.

You don't have to knock yourself silly with a higher dose. Pace NOT Race is a good idea. Hopefully others familiar with this herb will come along to answer your other questions.

If you're having such a strong reaction to it consider starting at 1 drop and working your way up slowly.

Buhner recommends Sida Acuta and Cryptolepis for Babesia.

Yes, it most definitely works.

It works

But if your liver is compromised (think MTHFR, etc) then the RBC debris builds up in the blood/liver/spleen and you get low bp and crushing fatigue.

Also keep the bowels moving.

It hits bart as well as babs.. I don't think there have been enough people taking it long enough to know if there are long term benefits. Buhner puts it first in the line of treatment for babesia.

I started taking it and am increasing by 1 drop a day and am up to maybe 15 now and haven't noticed anything yet.

Thanks for the feedback . this is really powerful and the die off for me is similar to ivermectin - intense.

I can take 30 drops of GSE or 45 of artemesia annua without too much trouble, but sida literally makes it hard to stand up erect . Fatigue and fluishness is rough .

Does it ever end? Seems like we could take pills drugs or herbs and still end up like a gerbil on a wheel .

If anyone sees that sida acuta makes them feel better , let me know. I wonder if it knocks lyme out too . Probably no study to test it for effectiveness with lyme . You have to wonder how the herb gurus know that it targets babesia .
No matter, it is killing something for sure.

I saw Buhner says to mix the acuta and crypto now. I'm about to start that for the first time as soon as it shows up in the mail. I'll let you know how it goes.

Take them both in one day? Or actually mix them both in the same water? I took them both in one day before - tough but worth it!

Dear Stephen,
Can you let me know what dose you are suggesting for Sida acuta for babesia and suggested treatment time? Can this herb also be taken with cryptolepsis?

Stephens response:
I suggest a blend of the two (or with the addition of Alchornea cordifolia) -1/2 tsp 3x daily. You could as well do tsp of each tincture 3x daily.

Thanks, Al.

Yes, I really think that's the way to go. I was doing that myself for awhile because it seemed to make sense. It seemed each herb hit a different thing for me.

For the past few weeks, I just take an herb (crypto or sida) when I feel a symptom. I haven't had any babesia symptoms for almost 2 weeks now.

17hens,

Unless your babesia is really gone then I would be concerned about dosing these herbs only when you feel symptomatic. I have no idea if babs or bart can develop resistance to these herbs, but if you were taking meds the way you are taking the herbs you would be creating an ideal environment for babs and bart to develop resistance.

One of the things that the Dr B stressed over and over when hubby saw him back in 2003 was that once you start treating babesia you should not stop for a minimum of 3 - 4 months. Stopping and starting meds can cause resistance to develop.

I believe I read Buhner say that Babesia does not develop resistance to these herbs. I hope I'm right.

I hear what you're saying, Bea, but what about Art? Isnt' that kind of pulsing kind of the same thing? If you have symptoms on Fri & Sat, the doc says to take Art Fri and Sat.?

How do I know if Babs is really gone or not? I have no symptoms right now. I'm not getting a blood test (can't afford it). Obviously asymptomatic is not best case scenario but it's not a bad place to be either.

It's very hard for microbes to develop resistance to plants due to the complexity of the plant and chemical makeup.

Abxs are often made up of 1 or 2 compounds where herbs have a number of chemical constituents to them making it hard for the microbes to "decode" and pass on genetic immunity.

There's a reason Garlic lines the walls of Russian hospitals and is known as "Russian Penicillin."
