My neuro wants to start me on amantidine to tackle my very high epstein barr titers.

Anyone have experience with this?

Hubby took it for 5 or 6 years for borna virus. Did not seem to help with titers, but docs didn't know anything else to try.

It is a very cheap med so may be worth a try.

Valtrex seems to be more commonly prescribed but is expensive.
