I recently went in for a routine physical and my PCP thinks I have large uterine fibroids that are causing my uterus to enlarge. I'm waiting for a follow up appointment to visualize and detail this diagnosis.

I've been told in the past that I have fibrocystic breats and a possible PCOS-like condition. (I do get my period, but have several other PCOS symptoms.)

Surely I could have these problems regardless of Lyme disease, but I'm just curious if there is a link, or if others have noticed that Lyme aggravates these female health conditions.

I treated my Lyme and co for over 3 years and feel much improved, my primary lingering issue being extreme fatigue. I'm a bit concerned about this new fibroid diagnosis, but hopeful that it may be the missing piece of the puzzle for why I'm "stuck" in my recovery.

Vitex, or chasteberry, can help PCOS.
Look it up at iHerb.com and read reviews.

Systemic enzyme therapy can reduce fibroids.

Lyme definitely messes with the female organs. I had endometriosis and fibroids. I don't think the fibroids affect how you feel unless you are bleeding heavily, which is what happened to me.

I had fibroids too....I didn't know I had lyme and possible babesia so I had a partial hysterectomy to deal with the resulting anemia.

I feel like it was so needless and that the anemia was Lyme/co related.

Live and learn.

Also I think fibroids are more common in late thirties early 40s. The heavy bleeding is hard to deal with. Are you having symptoms?
