My husband's lyme/bartonella symptoms are primarily neuro-psychiatric. Diagnosed in late January (Dr. C. Mo) after several years of symptoms.
Has been on doxy for a month, then ceftin, now been on rifampin about 3 weeks. So far none have helped his symptoms and mostly they worsen - especially depression, anxiety, agitation and tremors/head shaking - a continous herx??
Next he is to try zithromycin, then Flagyl. We know he might have to try IV therapy at some point.
My question? Which of any of the above ABXs helped you with similar type symptoms. Only thing that is better is his energy level and numb extremitiues, which may be from Armour, B-12, l-ribose, magnesium, ala, etc.
Thank you for any thoughts.

He will likely continue to feel worse for quite awhile. Herxing can go on and on and on.
Rifampin is for bart .. so he may really feel bad on this one.

Hi,
I have Lyme/Bart/Bab, and then some.
I was 1 month on Ceftin and Zithro.
Now 4 months of Zithro and started Mepron about 3 weeks ago. I am feeling better.
I am also taking a beta blocker. That helps with tremors. You should look into that I heard that beta-blockers work against Babesia and possibly Lyme. They help tremors.
