I'm starting all of them today. I know everyone's different but what do you think I should expect?

Sounds like a great combo for lyme. Wish I could convince my LLMD to throw in omnicef with a macrolide. When omnicef/cefdinir works, I think it really works.

Pardon me for my ignorance, but what is a macrolide? Why won't your doc do it for you?

Azithromycin, clarithromycin, etc. LLMD is a bit more conservative than others, IMHO.

Is telithromycin also a macrolide? My son also has lyme but has a different doctor. He started him on doxy, then will add telithromycin and a few weeks after that metranidazole. What do you think of that combo?

Telithromycin, a ketolide, differs chemically from the macrolide group of antibacterials by the lack of α-L-cladinose at position 3 of the erythronolide A ring, resulting in a 3-keto function. It is further characterized by a C11-12 carbamate substituted by an imidazolyl and pyridyl ring through a butyl chain
Metranidazole is flagyl - a heavy duty cyst buster from what I understand. Sounds like your son is in good hands.

Day Three...feeling really weird right now - hyper, noticing stronger oders, major brain fog and confusion. Boy, this is fun! Aren't we the lucky ones?!

I was on that mix. Unpleasant is the term that springs to mind.
Smells went haywire. I could tell if my kids were near someone that stepped in something (seriously). It was to the point that I could tell if someone went to the bathroom since they bathed.
Confusion and short term memory problems were worse for the first few weeks, got better. I hurt more on that combo than just about anything else I can remember.
After about 3 months everything started to improve, changed my meds again. This isn't a fun trip we're all on, ya'know?
