I had a consultation with an llmd and he had suggested that I take all of the abx that helped the most and stay on them for a year or longer, or until I stopped making improvement with them, he suggested I take plaquenil, azithromycin, doxycycline
, rifampin, and mepron together. I have never heard to take all of these abx at a a time. I am worried. I am not sure if he knows best. I have a big yeast problem, and he said more abx wouldn't make it worse if I started them slowly, adding each abx in one at a time. What do any of you think? Is this way too many abx to be on at once?

Wow

I also would be very worried about yeast. Sounds like he is trying to treat lyme and all coinfections all at once.

The most abx I have ever been on at a time is 3.

I was on Mepron, zithromax, augmentin and bactrim all together. Started them all slowly per my LLNP. I have to say after a few months felt wonderful! No yeast problems at all, but was on a good probiotic. After I was taken off this combo and started on a different one I felt awful again.

That's only 3 abx. I've been on that many before. In addition to a good probiotic I also take Saccharomyces boulardi to keep the yeast at bay.

Did you tell your new doc about your symptoms and concerns of yeast? Will they treat you for that first? Might be a good idea.

Once you get the yeast under control, keep it that way by taking Nystatin tablets and probiotics daily.

Your new antibiotic protocol sounds well rounded. Sounds exactly like one my doctor would prescribe.

I feel worse on less antibiotics. More is better for me.

I have been on Zith, Tinda, Mepron, Lariam, Ceftin and Mino, along with IV clinda all at once, but we added each medication over a year's time.

I take VSL #3 and occasional diflucan for yeast, which has never been a problem.
