I've always associated my brutal frontal headaches with Bartonella (Dr S in his book says frontal lobe & other Bart patients experience same thing).

When I took flagyl it gave me the worst frontal headache I've ever had. Followed by nausea and throwing up.

Could flagyl have action against Bartonella or BLOs?

It's not usually considered to, it's primarily for cysts.

No I don't get those symptoms.

But flagyl was super rough on me too.

flygyl really knocked my bart out of the park. flagyl and rifampin gave me HUGE headaches but they have considerably knocked back all of my bart symptoms.

I personally love [kiss] the flagyl rifampin combo. To be truthful...they were very hard on the body BUT they yielded tremendous results.

My daughters and I have done flagyl/rifampin/cefdinir/doxy combo and have made tremendous forward strides.

Headaches and things to consider (in my opinion):
caffeine wothdrawl
sugar withdrawl
parasites
Poor reaction to Meds
Dehydration

We have stopped with traditional drug chemotherapy in our house and are now using herbal remedies...think buhner plus others...and it is working quite well.

At the moment, $$$ are tight so I harvest and prepare herbs and tinctures from local

oops!

sorry, I am not sure what just happened but I posted in the middle of my thought.

we prepare tinctures from local herbs based on what I have learned from herbalists at DUKE (very close to my home)

So, to fully answer your question re: does flagyl give bart frontal headaches...Yes, it did for me when my load was very high. But, please consider that headaches may be due to other possibilities.

I wish you all the best when dealing with bart. It is a nasty bug with which to deal. plz explore all your options.

I know that I am one of the few will sing the praises of rifampin (but plz note that I truly dislike side effects). I will always state that it saved my mind (brain) with full disclosure that it is tough on the body.

Good luck treating your lyme and bart!
