Does anyone else get this? It feels like it is either at the the bottom of my ribs on the left side or just under it. Very sore and seemed to come out of nowhere. I am panicking that it's my pancreas or something.

I think many people who have Lyme have had this, I have. You may want to get an ultrasound of your gallbladder to rule out any problems with it.

I have had this pain off and on but have not had it in some time.

Spleen. Gallbladder is on the right.

I had it a lot and it was very painful. I used Pekana remedies. For spleen there are three that they recommend and I used all three. Fixed it for me.

I had this a couple years ago and actually went to the ER. My hubby thought it might have been my heart but it wasn't. They couldn't find anything wrong with me! I have not had this since treating with antibiotics.

Interesting that hansemand says could be bart.

It is interesting that it could be Bart, because I didn't know that I had it. I do have symptoms that would indicate it, although I have never tested positive.

If it was an enlarged spleen, is there something I can do about that?

I always thought it was babesia that was related to the spleen issues.

I used the Pekana remedies for spleen. They recommend three to be taken together.

Once again, you are correct! [Smile]

That makes sense, I was definitely clinically positive for Babesia, although not on blood test.

I just tried to order something from Pekana, but it said I needed a note from my doctor. Unfortunately, I am without an LLMD currently [Frown]

I do have some Zhang herbs here left over, might one of them help, or any kind of detoxing?

I can't remember where I ordered Pekana from, but there are definitely sites that sell it without a doctor.

I have the same pain. I had this for over a year before getting sick and it would come and go. It went away after taking Doxy and Biaxin and then came back after stopping both.

It is right under the rib cage, on the side of the heart (my left side). For someone looking at me, it would be their right side.

I've had X-rays and cat scans when I first got sick and it showed nothing.

I have this pain right now. Interesting! I think too that it's my spleen.

I will be doing more blood tests in the coming weeks and will see if that shows anything.

I have FL1953.. always thought I had babs.
Both would be in the red blood cells which makes sense for the spleen and how it filters blood.

the sensational news is that only a small number of bacterimic patients with bartonella have antibodies.
the only reliable test is galaxy.dx

I have this too and have associated it with my spleen. My acupuncturist agrees but it sure is uncomfortable when it's flaring up. I'm getting an abdominal ultrasound next week so I'll be interested to see if anything turns up.

could just be a lymph node

OK, this exact pain started for me when I started babesia treatment. It is behind the base of my ribcage on the left front side.

It comes and goes, and is better and worse. Never horrible, more like "Weird, what is that?"

Talked with my LLMD, who said that babesia often causes the spleen to be enlarged.

Probably because the spleen filters out the red blood cells, which are infected with babesia.

So, having my spleen checked out by GP this week.

Hope this helps!
